5 Best Inspirational Stories to Live Better Every Day

1. What's the challenge left?

"The shortest way out of trouble is through it."

A guy in trouble, he's hurt and lost faith in life. I came to ask a wise old man.

When he heard the story, he didn't say a word, just quietly put the pot on the kitchen, poured some water into the pot and put it in a carrot, a slice of salt and an egg. After boiling, he opened the lid and quietly stared at him.

After a while he began to say:

- Whoever lives in this world has to go through difficulties, trials. But what matters is what happens next?

Look at the salt that looks solid on the outside, but when put in the water, it dissolves, and the hard carrot gets softer when heated. The eggs are thin, but when they go through hot boiling water, they become harder.

2. The Brooklyn Bridge.

"Never, never, never surrender" - Winston Churchill

The Brooklyn Bridge north of the river between Manhattan and Brooklyn must be said to be the miracle of construction.

In 1883, an innovative engineer named John Roebling was thrilled to come up with the idea of building a spectacular bridge north of the two cities.

However, when you heard that bold idea, no bridge expert would cooperate with you. They think you're crazy and tell you to forget that because you can't make a bridge like that.

Not discouraged, he went home to convince his son that Washington was also a potential engineer, that he could build such a bridge. Both of your fathers have shared the desire to complete the bridge and discuss how to overcome all obstacles.

Anyway, the banks trusted them and agreed to give money to the bridge project. Excited and enthusiastic, they recruited workers and started building the bridge of their dreams.

The project went on for a few months and the disaster came. An accident on the site took John Roebling's life and his son's head injury.

Washington couldn't stand and speak after the accident. Everybody thought the project would end up in a cloud of smoke because Roebling's father was the only one who understood how to build this bridge.

Even though he can't walk and talk, Washington Roebling's mind is still very subtle. One day, lying in the hospital, in his head, he came up with a way to "talk" to someone.

The only movement of his body right now is to move a finger and he comes up with a code. With this set of codes, you can use your moving finger to put your thoughts into your wife's hand to tell her what to say to the engineers who are still building the bridge.

For 13 years, Washington commanded with the only finger left to move until the completion of the magnificent Brooklyn Bridge that we see today.
