5 Alleged Battles Between Humans and Aliens That Still Baffle the World

Strange military encounters, missing pilots, and secret underground wars. Are we already in contact?

By Areeba UmairPublished about 2 hours ago 3 min read

Let’s be honest, if aliens are visiting Earth, they’re basically breaking every aviation rule we have. No flight plans. No communication. No clearance. Just zooming around like the sky is their personal highway.

So here’s the real question…

Why aren’t they being shot down constantly?

Governments monitor airspace like hawks. A random object shows up? Jets scramble. Missiles lock. Yet, there are stories, controversial, chilling, and unresolved, claiming humans may have already engaged UFOs in battle.

Are they true? Misidentifications? Hoaxes? Something else?

Here are five of the most talked-about alleged human–alien encounters.

1. The Battle of Los Angeles (1942)

Also called: The Great LA Air Raid

In the middle of World War II, fear was already sky-high. Then, on February 24–25, 1942, Los Angeles went into chaos.

Radar contacts were reported. Lights appeared in the sky.

The military response?

Over 1,400 anti-aircraft shells were fired into the night.

But here’s the strange part…

Nothing was hit.

No wreckage. No confirmed enemy aircraft.

Witnesses described:

  • A large glowing object
  • Pale orange light
  • Something that drifted slowly and seemed unaffected by gunfire

A famous newspaper photo even showed searchlights converging on a mysterious object in the sky. Official explanations blamed weather balloons or flares, but many still believe this may have been one of the first recorded military engagements with a UFO.

2. The Disappearance of Lt. Felix Moncla (1953)

This one reads like a movie script.

In Michigan, radar detected an unknown object over Lake Superior.

Lieutenant Felix Moncla was sent to intercept.

Ground radar showed:

His jet is approaching the object

Both signals merging

Then… both vanished

No debris. No distress call. No wreckage found.

The Air Force later claimed it may have been a Canadian aircraft or a training error. But the radar data and the total disappearance still fuel speculation that something extraordinary happened mid-air.

3. Frederick Valentich’s Final Flight (1978)

Australian pilot Frederick Valentich radioed air traffic control with an urgent message:

A strange aircraft was following him.

He described:

  • A metallic object
  • Bright lights
  • Rapid, unnatural movement

His last words? He said the object was hovering above him, and “it’s not an aircraft.”

Then came 17 seconds of metallic noise.

Silence after that.

No wreckage ever found.

Skeptics say he could’ve become disoriented. Others believe he encountered something that didn’t belong in our skies.

4. Phil Schneider and the Underground “Alien War” (1979)

This is where the story shifts from sky… to underground.

Phil Schneider, an explosives expert, claimed he helped build secret military bases. He later spoke publicly about a supposed firefight with alien beings inside an underground facility.

He said:

  • He encountered 7-foot-tall humanoid entities
  • A battle broke out
  • Dozens of soldiers died
  • He was injured by a strange energy weapon

Years later, Schneider was found dead in what was ruled a suicide, though supporters argue the circumstances were suspicious. His story remains one of the most debated claims in UFO history.

5. Russia’s Alleged “Aquatic Alien” Encounters

Not all UFO stories come from the sky.

Some come from the ocean.

Russian sources and UFO researchers have spoken of USOs (Unidentified Submersible Objects), fast-moving underwater craft tracked by naval forces.

One claim describes divers encountering 3-meter-tall humanoid beings underwater. An attempt to capture one reportedly ended with a mysterious force pushing divers violently to the surface.

Fact? Folklore? Cold War myth?

No one knows, but the sea remains one of Earth’s least explored frontiers.

So… Are These Real Battles?

Some cases have official explanations. Others remain unsolved.

But here’s what makes them so compelling:

  • Military involvement
  • Missing people
  • Unidentified craft
  • No clear answers decades later

Coincidence? Misidentification? Psychological factors?

Or are we missing something bigger?

Final Thought

If even one of these stories is true, it changes everything we think we know about our place in the universe.

So what do you think?

Are these just mysteries of history…

Or evidence of encounters we were never meant to know about?
