How boring it is to live on earth. Do you want to feel something different? How about the next stop you will have to go to Mars. It is the way to fill empty space inside you. The hard way is going through the space. It involve money and energy.
They are already moving among us. In 2014, NASA suggested that the first person to visit Mars had already been born. The journey took one day which was incredible. At the same time, it can also be something boring.
NASA's original plan was to have humans on Mars by 2030. According to scientists, humans have the opportunity to live longer.
Work on Mars has already begun in preparation. A robotic rover is already on Mars to check radiation levels so the space agency can produce powerful technology to keep humans alive in the alien world. Astronauts test telecommunications for space exploration. Biologists on earth, on the other hand, monitor the health of astronauts and understand what health is like when they are on another planet.
With current technology, a trip to Mars takes 8 months. NASA knows that traveling this far will have psychological side effects. Because of that, scientists want to create technology where humans can sleep all the time on the way there.
Perhaps the idea is to learn from animals like the Arctic ground squirrel that allow their bodies to cool or freeze before entering hibernation. However, it will take years to study these animals and apply them to humans. NASA does not like the idea of "deep sleep".
But in 2015 they were more interested in producing technology to shorten the journey to Mars in 4 months. A short journey will save the need for water and other resources to stay alive.
However, if the space agency manages to build the ship. 4 months is a very long time with such a cramped ship. If there is danger, you may not have time to escape.
How are they going to do it? Psychologists are looking for a way. There has been a successful test to go to Mars and the test was done on earth.
In June 2010, 6 men began a simulated stay on Mars at the Moscow facility for 520 days. They spent months on the ship before "landing" on Earth. There is no denying that 6 men completed the test. However, they still do mental health tests for psychological conditions that can lead to stress and conflict. As a result, the adapted crew has no privacy in a boring and cramped situation.
Some critics argue that simulations like this are too safe. Crews know they can cancel at any time. Would psychology be any different if they knew the option wasn't there? And the mission itself carries a real risk of death?
More extreme Mars mission simulations may provide the answers sought. NASA now uses a site in Antarctica further down from the Atlantic Ocean to study humans in cramped conditions and high pressure.
Lessons from this experiment are still being learned. But whatever is found will be a great achievement in human history when humans launch a mission to reach Mars.
At the end of the day, boring is a part of our lives. No one knows much better except ourselves. We always choose who we want to be and it is okay. Some people may not understand why you choose this path. You don't owe them an explanation.
If you are bored with something it means there is nothing happening in your life. Make something happen in your life. It will have some meaning behind every step that you take.
