Can you recall yourself a decade ago? The environment surrounding you was distinct from what we have now, right? This is not surprising considering that we are currently in the age of fast-paced technological development, and we are progressing at an astonishing pace. What are your thoughts on how our world will appear in 2030? It's just over seven years away, but according to various projections, the next seven years are going to be incredibly thrilling.

According to researchers, solar panels are poised to surpass fossil fuels as the planet's primary source of energy due to advancements in modern materials. This development is expected to boost solar panels' energy output significantly, enabling them to capture a greater amount of sunlight, even under cloudy conditions.

The use of augmented and virtual reality is poised to become increasingly prevalent. Although still a nascent technology, it's expected to become ubiquitous within seven years, as a routine part of people's daily lives. For instance, imagine being able to take a virtual tour of a hotel before reserving a room, or perusing 3D models of products in a store prior to making a purchase. These practical applications demonstrate the immense value of AR/VR technology.

When it comes to augmentations, individuals will experience a significant enhancement. Rather than carrying a physical ID made of paper or plastic, microchips will be implanted under the skin. Bionic limbs will possess all the functions of natural arms and legs, while implants will enhance the performance of internal organs. The possibilities are endless! By 2030, all of these innovations and more will be accessible to the general public. Over time, they will become more affordable and widespread.

The issue of traffic congestion is on the verge of being completely resolved or at least significantly minimized. The increasing popularity of autonomous vehicles and even aerial cars (which I'm excited for!) will greatly reduce human involvement, which is the primary cause of traffic gridlock. Consequently, large cities will ultimately experience relatively uncongested roads, allowing us to complete our tasks promptly. I'm eagerly anticipating this exciting development!

Gasoline fuel will become obsolete as electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles gain more prominence in the market. By 2030, gas-powered cars will be pushed further out of the market. Additionally, solar-powered cars are expected to emerge as a viable alternative, eventually replacing all other forms of vehicles. Imagine a car that only requires sunlight to charge and enables you to travel to your desired destination hassle-free. No more worries about running out of fuel in remote areas!

The ubiquity of the Internet of Things (IoT) is set to revolutionize the way we live and work. From smart homes and offices to entire buildings, every aspect of our daily lives will be interconnected through closed internal networks. With the touch of a finger on our smartphones or tablets, we will be able to control every automated function and come home to a hot meal and clean house. The internet itself will also become truly global, with major companies such as Google, Facebook, and SpaceX already collaborating on a project that aims to provide constant web access to all 8 billion people on the planet. While only 3 billion people currently enjoy uninterrupted internet access, the goal is to achieve speeds exceeding 1 megabit per second for everyone by 2030.

In just seven years, the potential for artificial intelligence to revolutionize our lives is immense. AI will be capable of much more than just answering basic questions and carrying out simple commands. It will become more sophisticated, curious, and ultimately become the ultimate helper for everyone. In addition, medicine is poised to undergo significant changes. We are already witnessing numerous advancements in the field, and in seven years, doctors will have the ability to solve some of the most pressing medical issues we currently face. This includes discovering cures for cancer, AIDS, diabetes, Alzheimer's, and other ailments that have been a longstanding challenge for humanity. Although it won't be easy or inexpensive at first, the important thing is that the solutions will be discovered. The only thing left to do is to wait patiently for progress to unfold.

It is highly likely that the human genome will be deciphered soon, leaving only ethical considerations to address before genetic modifications of individuals become a reality. Such advancements could allow us to eliminate alarming genetic disorders in unborn children. Discussions regarding this possibility are already taking place among scientists worldwide, and a conclusive response may be achieved as early as 2030.

By 2030, we can expect to bid farewell to plastic and welcome in biodegradable materials based on cellulose that will take over plastic packaging for all purposes. This development will have a tremendous positive impact on our planet as it will significantly reduce soil and ocean pollution caused by littering. The best part? The new material will feel like plastic, so you won't even notice the difference! With this major step towards sustainability, we can look forward to a greener future.

Let's delve into some science fiction: teleportation and time travel may soon be within our grasp. Scientists have made remarkable strides in the field of quantum teleportation, and others have conducted experiments where particles seemingly reversed time and reverted to their prior state. It's important to note that these quantum experiments are not yet reproducible in the physical world. However, in as little as seven years, the concept of teleportation and time travel will become more tangible, bringing us one step closer to realizing these once-mythical concepts.

As genetic modification becomes increasingly prevalent, it's likely that modified crops will be cultivated indoors. By altering the plants' DNA, they will become more robust and less susceptible to failure, ultimately resulting in higher yields. The days of GMOs being a controversial topic of discussion will have passed, and people will be able to tangibly experience the advancements made through genetic modification.

The rise of robots in the job market will result in the automation of menial tasks, leaving humans to focus on more cognitive and intellectual pursuits. As a result, new opportunities will emerge for those eager to learn. Robots will be capable of performing tasks that do not necessitate human intervention, but some industries will still require human oversight. In these instances, people will either directly manipulate robots or program them to perform specific tasks. This trend will create new employment opportunities, so there is no need to worry about robots stealing jobs and contributing to unemployment rates.

Learning and acquiring new skills will become significantly easier compared to the present. This is due to the advancements in Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR), as mentioned earlier. These technologies will enable even practical skills to be learned without the need for physical presence in the same room as the teacher. For instance, you can learn to drive a car using a simulator from the comfort of your home. Although this method may not be widely used yet, it is expected to gain popularity and gradually become more mainstream. Additionally, machine learning is also expected to make significant progress during this time.

Our daily lives will be made easier by innovative technology such as highly advanced electronic translators, navigation systems tailored to individual driving styles, and other cutting-edge gadgets and software. These tools will allow us to communicate seamlessly across languages and perform routine tasks with unparalleled ease and efficiency.

These advancements are made possible by intelligent machines that can learn from their environment and make decisions based on the data they gather, whether from humans or from their own internal processes.

Moreover, 5G mobile internet connectivity will soon be ubiquitous in the most technologically advanced regions and cities around the world. In contrast to 4G, which can take up to an hour to download a movie, 5G boasts lightning-fast speeds that can accomplish the same task in mere seconds. The capabilities of this network are truly astounding, enabling real-time streaming of sports events (as demonstrated during the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang) and long-distance manipulation of surgical robots by human doctors.

The use of blockchain technology is expected to rise as the preferred method of transferring money and valuable assets between individuals and organizations. Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin rely on blockchain to enable secure and direct transactions without the need for intermediaries. Unlike traditional bank transfers, blockchain ensures that transactions are kept private, and only the parties involved have access to the information. This eliminates the risk of accounts being blocked for suspicious activity. While blockchain technology does give users greater control over their money, it's important to remember that spending it means parting with it.

Looking ahead, the entertainment industry is set to become more diverse with the rise of space tourism. At present, entrepreneurs such as Richard Branson and Elon Musk are preparing to launch their first space tours, which will only be accessible to the wealthiest individuals. However, by 2030, it's expected that the cost of space tourism will gradually decrease as the process becomes more accessible. Although it will still be expensive, it will mark the beginning of an exciting new era in space travel. Who knows, perhaps in another decade, we'll be able to travel into orbit as easily as we fly on airplanes today!
