The downside to buying YouTube views

When it is a bad idea.

By Jason BarilPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

As an aspiring creator, it's only natural that you want your YouTube videos to go viral and reach as many people as possible. It can be frustrating when your content doesn't get the engagement you expected but be critical of your content, ask yourself what should I have done or what should I have done better first. This is why some creators resort to buying YouTube views. While it may seem like a quick fix to boost your numbers, there are many downsides to this approach. In this blog post, we'll explore why it's a bad idea to buy YouTube views and how it can negatively affect your channel's growth. I have bought views for different stations in the past and remember not all views are created equal.

1. Low-quality views: When you buy YouTube views, you're not getting genuine engagement from real people who are interested in your content. Instead, you're getting views from foreign countries, bots and fake accounts. These views have no real value as they don't lead to any engagement or interaction with your content. They can also negatively affect your video's retention rate, as these low-quality views don't watch your video for long. YouTube cares about retention rates because they want people to stay on their platform. So if you are going to buy views I suggest paying extra for real high retention views. The other stuff as much as it helps, it may hurt even more.

2. Risk of getting penalized: YouTube's algorithm is smart and can easily detect when someone is buying views. If caught, your channel may get penalized. This can result in a drop in rankings, demonetization or even suspension of your channel. YouTube's terms of service prohibit any artificial manipulation of views, and violating these terms can have serious consequences.

3. Hindering your channel's growth: Buying views may seem like a quick way to increase your channel's visibility, but in reality, it's hindering your channel's growth. When you buy views, you're not building a genuine audience that engages with your content and becomes loyal subscribers. This can affect your channel's credibility and may hinder it from growing organically.

4. Waste of money: Buying YouTube views can be costly, and in the end, it's not worth unless they are real, from the United States and have high retention rates. Otherwise, you’re essentially paying for views that have no real value and may even harm your channel's growth. Instead of investing in buying views, invest your time and resources in creating high-quality content that resonates with your target audience. This isn’t easy I have started six stations and have monetized two. Your content should overlap your passions otherwise it may fall flat.

5. Ethical concerns: Buying YouTube views is a form of deception. It's dishonest to inflate your numbers artificially and can negatively affect your reputation as a creator. As a content creator, it's important to have integrity and be honest with your audience. When you buy views, you're not being true to yourself or your viewers. Now I do not find this as much of a concern as I should but maybe that is because I believe knowledge is power.

In conclusion, buying YouTube views is not a sustainable solution to growing your channel. However, if you decide to buy YouTube views I suggest using this company which I will include a link below. Please use it if you go that route.

Instead, focus on creating valuable content that resonates with your target audience. Building a genuine audience takes time and effort, but it's worth it in the long run. Remember, buying views can come with many downsides, including low-quality views, the risk of getting penalized, hindering your channel's growth, waste of money, and ethical concerns. By avoiding this quick fix, you're prioritizing the long-term health and growth of your channel. So, take the high road and focus on creating content that provides value to your viewers.
