Tesla Diner, open now!
A retro-futuristic diner to dine and watch movies whilst charging your Tesla. Yes, please! :)

I can’t tell you how excited I am. If there’s a reason why I would travel all the way to California from the old continent is this new Tesla Diner. It combines two of my favourite things: retro and future. Or, I can just wait until the first Tesla Diner opens in the U.K. and the EU, something that could happen soon.
This is the coolest thing happening in the world right now. If you are interested in AI, robotics, Tesla, a mix of retro and future, also comfort food and classic American diners with a retro-futuristic vibe you must read this. Because, this is how the near future will look like.
So, here is what I got from the virtual preview.
The first-ever Tesla Diner opened yesterday, Monday, 21 July, 2025, at precisely 4:20pm. in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, United States, Earth. It is located at 7001 Santa Monica Boulevard, in case you are nearby and want to go and have a look by yourself.
The venue combines a retro 1950s-style diner with a modern Supercharger station and drive-in theatre. It all looks and surely feels taken from the movie Back to the Future. The innovative and rather cool concept was first announced by Elon Musk back in 2018 and finally became a reality after years of development.
The diner features a sleek, futuristic design with elements reminiscent of classic American diners, those you can see in the 1950s classic movies, and a diner menu which includes a Tesla Burger and classic milkshakes. The location offers 80 V4 Supercharge stalls, with plans to expand to 75 additional spots nearby.
The Drive-In Theatre has two 45-foot LED screens each playing 30-minute films, synchronised with the audio in Tesla vehicles, providing entertainment during charging sessions. The diner serves classic comfort food such as burgers, hot dogs, wings, milkshakes, and some of the food are served in cute Cybertruck-shaped boxes.
The innovative service includes a look into what the near future will bring: Tesla’s Optimus humanoid robot serves popcorn, adding a near-futuristic touch to the dining experience. Customers can order food directly from their Tesla’s screen, with meals delivered to their vehicles or served inside the diner.
Alternatively, customers can also order directly inside the diner. The diner is logically open 24/7 and is designed to handle between 2000 to 2,500 guests per day. Elon Musk has said that this concept could expand to other major cities worldwide if the Los Angeles location proves successful, and of course it will.
For a visual overview of the Tesla Diner you can watch the following video: Tesla Diner opens in West Hollywood:
You don’t need to own a Tesla. Any electric car can be charged. And you don’t even need a car. You can just walk into the diner and order what you want.
Of course, I wanted to check the full menu, which you can find here: Tesla Dinner. And why not mentally teleport myself and order something nice?
Can I please have …?

Here’s my order of what I most certainly would have.

Because this is the signature Tesla Burger I think this must be the closest to the classic retro burger which I definitely love to try. I can order chips (fries) as a side or have the burger on its own.
I also want a …

Of course I want one! My only problem would be to choose only one. Perhaps I choose the strawberry milkshake first. :)
And this …

This I would order because I am curious and it looks nice in the picture.
The full menu is here below:
I definitely love the idea of merging retro with futuristic elements. It’s like taking the best of both worlds combining them into today’s experience. I am pretty sure the Tesla Diner offers free Starlink Wi-Fi to customer. What’s not to love about the Tesla Diner?!
