Star Wars is a science fiction franchise set in a universe far far away.

It isn't even April 1st, but boy do we have a #StarWars story for you. If you thought Katie Price appearing in Sharknado 5 was the strangest casting of 2017, you ain't read nothing yet. With #Disney's Star Wars: The Last Jedi well underway, the already bulging cast list is about to be joined by #GaryBarlow — yes, that's right, Take That's Gary Barlow. 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' Teases Phantasmic Return For Captain Phasma
Star Wars has a long history with some great characters — although some were not so great *cough* Jar Jar *cough*. When #TheForceAwakens premiered in 2015, we were promised a badass new addition to proceedings in the form of #GwendolineChristie's Captain Phasma. The shiny Stormtrooper was bigged up by #Disney to be some cool Boba Fett homage in The Force Awakens, but sadly, her chrome suit was the only thing about the character that shone. A few crackling lines of lackluster helmet chatter and Phasma was carted off, threatened with becoming a recycled aluminum can in a trash compactor.

'Star Wars Episode VIII' Theory: Rey Is Leia's Daughter, But Also Poe's Sister
It is maddening being a Star Wars fan. I mean, we are being forced to wait another whole year before we find out not just the biggest mysteries in Star Wars history, but possibly one of the biggest in pop culture history. What is Rey's lineage? There have been so many theories presented that almost every possible outcome of this storyline has been covered and guessed, yet we still seem so far. I have been trying to find any extra angle that some people might have missed in their theories.

'Star Wars 7' Theory: Luke Skywalker Is the Leader of the Knights of Ren, But Is NOT Kylo Ren...
(The Following Article is a fan theory and pure speculation. There may be spoilers for the upcoming Star Wars: Episode 7) It seems like fan theories are running rampant on the internet and with that I figured I would throw my hat into the ring with a Star Wars theory.

Could Respawn Be Developing A Star Wars Sith Game From the Darth Maul Concept's Ashes?
Video game developers are constantly tossing new ideas for games around, and back in 2010 a concept was born that revolved around Darth Maul, the semi-mute Sith Lord from Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. The concept came from Red Fly Studio (now Gaming Corp Austin) and it looked to be a grittier, dark approach to the Star Wars third-person style we found in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

Spark In The Dark: A Look Into Darth Vader's Twisted Sense Of Humor
"Be careful not to choke on your aspirations, Director." Although it remains to be seen just how well Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is going to stand the test of time with in the Star Wars universe, it's fair to say that the Darth Vader hallway scene has found its place among the franchise's all-time most memorable moments. However, the same can't be said of Vader's earlier cinematic confrontation with Krennic and, more precisely, that quote above, as many fans initially felt it was a bit out of character and an unnecessary addition to an otherwise great scene.

Does 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' Signal the End of Jedi and Sith as We Know It?
With the episode title of Star Wars VIII finally revealed, the internet has been abuzz with speculation about the significance of the title The Last Jedi. It’s kind of confusing since the entire original trilogy is essentially about Luke being the last Jedi. If you want to get especially anal, you could argue that Obi Wan and Yoda were the last Jedi in the original trilogy until they transferred that title on to Luke. The most obvious thing is that the last Jedi in Episode VIII is referring to Luke who set himself into self-imposed exile after Kylo Ren slaughtered his new Jedi in the academy. Presumably, he’s going to try and train Rey who will take on the titular mantel of The Last Jedi. But wait just for a second there. What if we were to propose a far more radical significance behind the title of the Last Jedi? What if it’s in reference to the extinction of the entire Jedi order and Sith orders?

A New Trope: These 3 Film Genres Would Thrive In The Star Wars Universe
The circle is now complete. When Star Wars began with A New Hope, it was a case of creating this fascinating universe to tell a timeless tale in a new and exciting fashion. Now, with RogueOne: A Star Wars Story, this ever-expanding universe has become the main source of inspiration for telling great stories. And that, in turn, puts into perspective just how huge and layered the galaxy far, far away has become.

Why Is the 'Star Wars' Prequel Trilogy Becoming More Appreciated?
When Disney bought Lucasfilm and announced their ambitious plans, it looked like an end of the line for the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Honestly, I really thought that they would have been forgotten and pushed into the outer rim of galaxy by all of the new and, hopefully, brilliant content, that we were about to get. Fast forward to 2016 and, as was predicted, we have indeed gotten a lot of amazing new Star Wars content.

Staring into the Darkness: Do We Really Want to Know More About Star Wars' Emperor Palpatine?
The idea of exploring the character of Emperor Palpatine, or should I say Darth Sidious, is like staring into a mysterious dark cave or standing at the edge of a seemingly bottomless pit. It looks menacing but you don't know what exactly is inside. Furthermore, part of you probably doesn't want to know. Yet, you can't help but to be fascinated by it. The recent news of a shelved Star Wars: Underworld TV series, that was to focus on Palpatine's backstory and make him a relatable character, have brought attention to a fascinating question that many (including myself) have pondered over for ages. Should we explore that character further? Let's look at some some of the arguments on why we should (a spin-off or a TV show), while also offering some counter arguments on why he should be left as he is now.

Maul vs. Kenobi — An Exploration of a Character Defining Rivalry
From the moment the steel doors opened at the flying hangar in Naboo, to meeting as two battle weary and experienced old men all these years later on Tatooine, the rivalary between #ObiWanKenobi and #DarthMaul has become one of the most fascinating side-stories in the #StarWars Universe.

Mace Windu: A Fascinating Contradiction
One of the most powerful Jedi of his time and second only to master Yoda in the Jedi Council's hierachy, Mace Windu is probably my favourite Star Wars side character. Although, it's not beacause he probably has the coolest lightsaber, or that he is played by awesomeness personafied that is Samuel L. Jackson. In fact, I don't even find Mace particularly likeable. Rather, I find him endlessely fascinating.
