Brian Daley - The Man Who Expanded The Universe
On February 11, 1996, Brian Daley died of pancreatic cancer at the age of only 48. Younger fans might not even be familiar with this name, but for those who have been there when Star Wars exploded in the late '70s, Daley was one of the very first who expanded the lore beyond that of the movies.

This Rebel From 'Rogue One' Will Be Joining The Cast Of 'Andor' On Disney+
Since we haven't yet reached the heat death of the universe, more Star Wars series are being released on Disney+ in the coming years. One of the upcoming ones is Andor, about, fittingly enough, Cassian Andor, one of the protagonists of the generally well received Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. It will follow his exploits before the events of the film, showing his earlier years fighting with the Rebel Alliance against the evil Empire. It will be a prequel series to a prequel (or midquel, depending on how you want to look at), and it is set to be released in 2022 and consist of twelve episodes.

Star Wars Legends vs. Canon. Who Did Better?
With the creation of The Clone Wars animated series in 2008 and, most notably, the purchase of Lucasfilm by Disney in 2012, Lucasfilm had the opportunity to create lots of new Star Wars content, some of which subsequently overwrote the existing story canon, and relegate them to "Legends." While this resulted in some good and sometimes even brilliant new perspectives regarding existing Star Wars characters and storylines, there were times when it completely missed the mark. In this article, I will explore some fairly significant changes that The Clone Wars series, as well as the subsequent decision by Lucasfilm to rebrand existing Star Wars Expanded Universe content as "Legends", has brought to the galaxy far, far, away, some of it for the better and some of it for the worse.

10 Things You Didn’t Know About Emperor Palpatine
When George Lucas began working on Star Wars, back in the 1970's, no one could have foreseen just how big the franchise would become. For over 40 years, we have visited countless worlds, and been introduced to many characters. None have been as prolific as the Emperor Sheev Palpatine, aka. Darth Sidious. While he would not actually show up in person until Return of the Jedi, his presence was definitely felt throughout the first two films of the original trilogy. It was very clear he was the ultimate villain of this universe. Even Vader himself confirmed the emperor was "not as forgiving" as he.

'A New Hope' Is the Best 'Star Wars' Movie, And Here’s Why
There is a lot of pressure placed on the first installment in a series, whether it be a movie, a book, or a television show. When the story is about something outside our reality, like a science fiction or fantasy, then the first chapter is responsible for painting the picture of the world to the audience. Worldbuilding is a tricky art. Long-winded descriptions would fail to hold the interest of the audience. If too little information was given, then we would spend the entire time trying to figure out what was going on. The world should be different enough to spark our imagination, yet familiar enough to make it believable. Star Wars: A New Hope accomplished just that, making it the best Star Wars movie in the saga.

How The Sequel Trilogy Can Be Improved By the Disney+ Shows
Star Wars was no stranger to ridicule and vitriol from the audience, but the sequel trilogy probably received the most hate among other canonical content. Even the prequel trilogy, Jar Jar Binks, and "I don’t like sand" did not receive the amount (or perhaps the volume) of anger from the fanbase. Part of the reason that the prequels were often regarded as a tier above the sequel films by many fans could very well be due to the excellent additional content surrounding that era— from comics, to novels, video games, and visual dictionaries. The Clone Wars animated series improved the prequel trilogy like no other content. With the great Tom Kane’s episode introduction in the style of a WWII newsreel, and the various characters of Jedi and clones alike developed over seven seasons, the show brought a fresh and vibrant feel to the first three movies of the saga. A similar treatment to the sequels would help tie storylines together, deepen the impact of characters and events, and create a more cohesive and rewarding experience for Star Wars fans. Here are the ways that the Disney+ shows could improve the much maligned Sequel Trilogy.

10 Reasons Revenge of the Sith Is The Best 'Star Wars' Movie
The crown jewel of the prequel trilogy, Revenge of the Sith is the culmination of George Lucas' vision for Star Wars, roughly 28 years in the making. While he would go on to make The Clone Wars animated series, this would mark the final time that Lucas would sit in the director chair for a live-action Star Wars project. Taking place three long years after the events of Episode II, the third installment in the Skywalker saga depicts a galaxy torn apart by war, as well as a Jedi Order blindly walking the path to destruction. As the end of the Clone Wars unfolds on screen and the Sith grand plan comes to a head, audiences are thrust down a path of war, betrayal, and a plethora of intensely awesome lightsaber duels. Here are 10 reasons why Revenge is the best Star Wars movie.
