Future Glimpse
Ripley sat at her desk scanning the newspaper help wanted ads desperately trying to find a handsomely paying job hell even a decently paying one at this point. Her bank account was sitting at $10.35, and her bill due dates were slowly closing in on her in a suffocating manner. In frustration of not being able to find anything she threw the paper to the floor, booted up her computer and headed straight for Craigslist in hopes of finding something that would help her generate some money before she was completely broke and homeless. After searching through around twenty pages she found an ad that caught her attention. 'Get Paid $20,000 For A Glimpse Of Your Future!' Ripley was truly curious but also completely skeptical nothing that good was ever true least not in an honest manner anyways. Quickly she looked up the address on her phone's GPS saving it to her future places, she got up from her desk quickly dressed in a t-shirt, jeans, hoodie and sneakers before grabbing her wallet, keys and phone to head to the location of the over promising job. It was a stormy day which of course made her wish that she had a car, but when your as low on money as she is your car is your own two feet.

The Callyn Chronicles
The hum of the old television set was annoyingly enough to keep Callyn awake. The blue light flooding from the otherwise blank screen seemed to fill the room, piercing her eyelids and irritating her brain. She stirred slightly as she tried to drift off, to at least a snooze. She was exhausted and the images swirling in her mind did little to ease her into the lull of sleep. She turned over on her worn brown corduroy couch and tried to nestle deeper into the familiar cushions as she snuggled closer into her pillow. A long day had turned into what seemed to be an endless night, and little did she know, her night was just beginning.

The Adventures of Bart Davidson, Planetary Prospector
Bart Davidson jumped to hyperspace, with a course set for the Cereus system, a region of the galaxy where he had been. He was looking for planets, moons, and asteroids that had significant deposits of valuable elements. The Cereus system was large and untapped for such elements. Davidson made his living by identifying deposits of elements and selling that information to mining companies. He also dabbled in smuggling from time to time, which inevitably got him into trouble with the Outer Rim authorities. He had been successful at bribing his way out of those predicaments.

YesterWhere
I walked out of the bank, stunned. Twenty thousand dollars! I said to myself in a surprisingly loud internal voice. I’ve had that much money over the course of my forty years on this planet but, never all at once. It was both mind blowing and mind numbing at the same time. What was I going to do with this newly acquired inheritance? Even though I have been living paycheck to paycheck since I was sixteen, I knew that twenty thousand dollars is not exactly life changing. It can be, however, course altering. This was not the time for big plans. I had new money and I intended to spend some of it, at least, without the fear of consequences.

Running is a freeing experience. Feeling your heart pumping so hard, you start to admire its strength as a vital organ; the sweat on your skin making your hair cling to you as if afraid to be lost in your speed; the knowledge that your body is growing stronger, even as your muscles burn, tighten, and weaken with the exertion.

Twitcher
This room always felt like a morgue to Jones. Silly really, as, barring any tragic accidents, this was not a place that saw death. But the stainless steel, the harsh lighting removing all shadow from the work room, and the absolute cleanliness of the place seemed to strip out the humanity in a way he imagined you only experienced around the dead. Of course, the body on the slab reinforced that feeling.
