Back To The Futurama: David X. Cohen Promises More 'Futurama' Is Coming
Who didn't love Fox's futuristic answer to The Simpsons in Matt Groening's Futurama? Following the wacky adventures of the Planet Express crew and a dimwitted delivery boy frozen for 1,000 years, Futurama became a staple of fast-paced cartoon foolery in the noughties. As Philip J. Fry awoke in the year 3,000, he was faced with Leela the one-eyed cyclops, alcoholic robot Bender, the squid-like Dr. Zoidberg, and a whole host of other madcap misfits. Undoubtedly the thinking man's version of #TheSimpsons, Futurama's peak was arguably better than America's favorite yellow family.

Since 1966 we have watched #StarTrek and the adventures of the Starship Enterprise, Voyager, and soon Discovery to make the ideas of Gene Roddenberry one of the most successful franchises ever. While seeing Kirk parade around the bridge is all well and good, the shows can at times be accused to taking themselves a little too seriously.

Well, it looks like Judgement Day has taken its toll and the robot apocalypse is well and truly upon us. Despite the best laid plans by James Cameron, Jonathan Mostow, McG, and Alan Taylor, the #Terminator franchise has finally powered down after five films and 33 years. The news comes that the reported sequel to Terminator Genisys has found itself on the Skynet scrapheap alongside the titular Terminator #ArnoldSchwarzenegger. Given his recent departure from The New Celebrity Apprentice, at least we know Arnie isn't leaving his role in robotics to continue his reality television aspirations.
