Palmistry
Palmistry is believed to have originated from India spreading through China, Europe, Greece and eventually Europe. An ancient practice that has been around for many centuries. Your life story is drawn out on the palm of your hand and every line has something to tell.

Righteous Minds
Like most systems of mysticism, there can be found nuggets of truth, bits of wisdom, and pieces of thought by which to live. Though most of it is wrapped around contradictions, embedded in fallacies, and tangled around falsehoods, billions of people live by these codes, consciously or unconsciously. With the Nation of Gods and Earths, a movement that arose during the Black Nationalist movement with ties to the Honorable Wallace Fard Muhammad, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, and the Nation of Islam by Clarence 13, there exist three types of people in the world. There are the 85 percent who are the “deaf, dumb, and blind,” or those who possess a philosophy, but cannot articulate or embody it with adroitness. They go about their days with any mishmash of utterances, visits to psychics, and also point to the zodiac for guidance.

Norse Mythology
I’m not sure how many people know or don’t know about Norse mythology, but I thought I’d state it myself. I tend to identify with Brunnhilde because she was a fighter for honor and love of family. She was also an example that women could fight too, and in an early belief system. While the Viking men went out and fought, the women would guard the homes. I thought I would look up more information about the Vikings’ belief system before they switched to Christianity.

Intrinsic Magick
Intrinsic magick is my personal favorite, and also runs in my family as you do not need to use tools for this sort of magickal act. Amber K states that you use magick when you use your “mind, body, voice, will, energy field, and emotions” (174), to create a change in reality. The Witch’s Pyramid is all about “imagination, will, silence, faith, love, and knowledge." You can use the mind, to imagine possibilities as well as increase focus. Senses allow us to feel or see the energies available to us that can make changes in our reality.

Have Yourself a Non-Capitalist Christmas
Christmas is a worldwide holiday, known as a time of cheer and family. I haven't really seen it as that in a long time though? I do see, however, tons of adds from big stores lauding great deals for toys and decorations to be the bigger, better Christmas celebration from the time the clock hits 12:00 a.m. on November 1st. That's all it is, for two months up until the actual celebration. Get more light-up deer, get a huge tree, get tons of presents, BUY TONS OF THINGS.

The Life and Times of an Atheist
Being an atheist is definitely not a barrel of laughs. It can be distressing sometimes, and highly frustrating. I’m going to engage in a little bit of therapy, and try to deal with my “atheist issues” by writing about them. Bearing in mind that there are probably others in the world who might feel the same way I do, I’m going to publish my thoughts. Hopefully, they will prove helpful to a few people. If not, I’ll settle for entertaining! Please come along with me on this journey. I have no idea where it will go. I may be ranting about bigotry one day, moaning about politicians or celebrities the next. It won’t all be negative. I would like to dispel the notion, often spread by the religious, that we atheists are a miserable lot. It’s simply not true. I’m as cheery as you can get (well, usually!)

Goddesses of Badassdom: Kali
In the annals of terrifying forces of femininity, one name stands above many others. A name that sends shivers down your spine, and can turn a man's blood to lukewarm piss. A name that is synonymous with death, destruction, and which represents the ultimate mama bear who is not to be poked under any circumstances.

Coming Out of the Broom Closet
I grew up in San Antonio, Texas. Catholicism was and still is huge in the community I was raised. But like in most cultures and religions, there are superstitions and heeded tales of strayed paths. The idea of witches and witchcraft or bruja and brujeria was taboo and was meant to be feared. If you practiced witchcraft, it meant you were no longer part of the family because you sold your soul to el diablo. Funny really. How can they know of such things if they didn’t do them themselves? I found my religious preference in high school when I was introduced to a Wiccan priestess. She told me about paganism, witchcraft and Wicca. From then on, I was hooked.
