The Blink of God's Eye
It's been a while since I last wrote something on my own. Today, while watching a so-called 'perfect Christmas movie,' I found myself thinking that despite the film's overly sweet Americanized story meant for entertainment, it contained many genuinely effective thoughts. Especially in the journey of Unconditional Love, there were insights worth exploring.

The Case of the Disappearing Bottle Cap
It might come as a surprise that as an atheist and follower of logic and reason, I believe in the spirit realm. I’ve never been able to accept the idea of God, an all-powerful all-loving being that supposedly created all living things and yet allows so much suffering, despite having the apparent power to prevent it. But, I’ve also never been able to accept that this is all there is.

Ways of Worship: Ate
The Greek Goddess of mischief, ruin, mad impulsion, rashness, delusion, infatuation, blind folly, and reckless impulse. In some lore she was the personification of these things but in other lore she was the personification of fatal blindness, folly, and recklessness that produces crime and was the goddess of the divine punishment that followed said crime. She’s a true chaotic evil as she could lead men and Gods to do evil and to the path of ruin. Ate was often described as a trickster who encouraged and enjoyed watching people self-destruct in rash and inconsiderate ways.

No Oasis. Top Story - November 2023.
I’d fallen off the wagon, again, and felt ashamed of all that I had done to hurt my family. I was just fifteen years old when I had my first rum and Coke at a Las Vegas casino. It didn’t help that my parents had a well-stocked liquor cabinet at home. That began my lifelong misery of fighting and losing, getting my AA tokens, hitting the liquor store after a meeting with money I “borrowed.” Something about the intoxication seemed to be the anchor to my soul; nothing else could match it. Addiction is a disease, and I was fully infected.
