"24/7" DINER
I arrived at the hotel last night. I hated arriving Monday mornings. Awaking much too early to drive from my last gig, rushing to make the dancer meeting by 11, and the first showtime was often at noon! Dance CD’s and stage props everywhere, costumes and toiletries strewn all over the bed, suitcases exploding in every corner. No thanks. Better to spend my day off driving and arrive with time to settle in.

The Portal Cafe
"There's a thin line between what is real and what is not. Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference." That's what was written on the billboard Matt saw before he looked up higher into the sky and saw what appeared to be a flying saucer. The lights coming from the saucer were almost blinding and caused Matt to miss his turn on the highway. He figured he would take the next exit and turnaround, but that exit never came. So Matt kept driving. Fog crept in and visibility was low. Matt had been driving for hours and he was hungry now. Having not seen any place to eat for miles, he was pleasantly surprised when he finally saw a diner. It was midnight on a Saturday, and he knew that he was lucky to find any place at all that was still open at this hour. Fortunately, The Portal Cafe was open 24/7.

Merlin and Panther
Taking a few deep breaths, centre your body, breathing in deeply through your nose into the base of your lungs, releasing a long slow, exhale allowing all the tension in your neck, shoulders, back, hips, legs and feet to relax, releasing the energy of the day. Take a few more deep breaths. Centre and relax, becoming one.

The Flaming Sword Of Michael
“Knowledge has led them to the reality of insight, and they are in contact with the spirit of certainty. They find easy what is regarded as rough by those who live in comfort and luxury. They are intimate with what terrifies the ignorant. They are in the company of people with their bodies, yet their souls are lodged in the highest realm.”

Dog Days of Eternity
The voice of my ancestral forefather from the historical records echoed through my head long after I had turned down for the night. I circled my sleeping quarters, and kneaded the cushion with my paws time and again, but could not find rest. His words in his ancient tongue, became the source of my research obsession, and the cornerstone of our society.

An Exodus of Dragons
“Kaia! Now isn’t the time to dwell on regret.” The older dragon stood on the top of a plateau, its dark red scales glistening like priceless rubies in the twilight sun. It regarded Kaia kindly but knew the time had come for them to go. The world had changed, and others more powerful had come to claim the main lands of Aria as their own.
