In the darkest forest, on the edge of the largest city in the fairy kingdom, the creatures that had inhabited it for the last two million years were more restless than they had been in the last century. For the last seven weeks, fairies across the land had tried to restore the land to its natural harmony. Some of the fairies had taken to meditating in the forest for hours upon hours. One such fairy, who was more worried about healing the forest and setting it back in order than chanting idiotically around the ceremonial alters, Rael sat on an old stump beginning her daily meditation routine. Just from placing a hand on the stump, she could feel the anger, resentment, and pain of not only the tree itself but of the entire forest for miles upon miles. EXT. DARK FOREST - NIGHT PHEE runs through the forest. She briefly checks behind her. she tumbles down a hill into a clearing. Phee rubs her head. she attempts to stand up. She winces in pain stumbles back and falls against a tree. She looks at her right leg her ankle is sprained, and her knee has a small gash. She sucks her teeth. The brush before her begins to rustle. "Shamials"
I'm excited to share that I am nearly done writing my first fictional fantasy book. I think I will end up making a 2 or 3 book series, though not sure I can focus enough energy to do more than that. The title is as soon in the article title, it is called Shamials. The word Shamial comes from the creature developed for the story. Shapeshifters through ancestry, but more animal than human. Most of these creatures only shift into one or two forms. Any species, real or mythical (by real world standards) can be traits of a Shamial.

Enchantment
The sun beamed through my windows heating the house to the perfect temperature. Making it that much harder to leave my sanctuary to brave the cold world outside. Slipping on my toffy coloured trench coat, stuffing mittens in the pockets just in case, I stepped through the threshold of my front door. The cool air hit me like a slap in the face. The crunch of fallen leaves echoed with each step I took. Something was comforting in the change of seasons. Especially when fall was poking its head around the corner.

Unicorns Exist!
I'm looking up at my mom, who's telling the tale of when our kind roamed around with the Humans. She tells about how we used to help the Humans with tasks and they would give us shelter from the rain and the cold winters. It's a story of marvels, until she gets to the part where they start hunting us for our magic, which they cannot take from us to use for themselves. She goes on to tell of the times she heard fellow Unicorns in the distance scream in pain as the Humans took their horns and cut their manes, trying to take our magic; but, they don't understanding our magic and how it works. No one ever came back. She says that we no longer show ourselves to the Humans so that our kind is protected.

Wolf & Her
Once there was a wolf, and this wolf was all alone. All of the other wolves had been caught or killed. But this last wolf, he stayed. And he did all of the usual Wolfie things. He lived in a cave high up in the mountains. He raided the occasional flock for a stray sheep.
