The Mystery of Pumpkin Patch Bridge
Chapter 1 I sat on my bike, staring at the infamous bridge where it was rumored that anyone who dared to cross would simply vanish into thin air; except for me, it wasn’t just a rumor. I had seen it happen with my own eyes, as my best friend, Maureen, had disappeared when she had attempted to cross the bridge. Maureen hadn’t wanted to go across--everyone in town was afraid to--but I had dared her, as children often do.

The adventures of Maleki
In a land far far away, basically in the middle of nowhere; there was a young boy name Maleki, who lived in a small town with only about 150 people or so. Maleki was an adventurous soul looking for the "new" everywhere he went; like new trails, new watering holes, anything that would excite his imagination. Everyone thought the boy was kinda an odd fellow, mainly for the pictures he drew. they were so in-depth if you looked at them for too long you'd get stuck, mentally for a few days, at least that's what it seemed to most of the town people. Maleki was very very unique in the way he expresses himself! on one eventful night, he got super deep into this masterpiece he was working on that, it was as if he had fallen down a rabbit hole, or entered a portal to another realm. as he picks himself up and brushes himself off he begins to look around, very confused. He thinks to himself "what is going on? where am I? what is this place"? so he starts to wonder explore what looks to be a modern more advanced town, it looks like his home but it wasn't his home if you catch my drift? see there was nature still all around him but it was like the civilization had ground with the forest instead of clearing out to make more open room! As he started to walk around he came to a familiar place that he had seen before. looking around in amazement at what had come of the place he once lived a time ago, as he's wandering around downloading all this newness, he then trips and falls backward. what did he trip over you might ask? it was a book bag laying there that looks like someone had since left it and forgot about it! Maleki looks around to see if anyone was near, but nobody. he decides to see what's in the bag so he opens it up slowly, to his surprise there is what looks to be money, now it wasn't cash but it looked to be roughly twenty thousand dollars in gold coins, then notices a black pocketbook underneath a few of the coins, he picks it up starts to scroll through it. scrolling through the book there is nothing but blank pages until he gets to one where it looks to be a note, that reads: "To whom may find this bag, it just so happens to be your lucky day! I have placed twenty thousand gold coins inside for you to use as you wish, now If you're wise enough it shall go a long way! Take this and enjoy your life. Maleki thinks "wow this is amazing, wait till I show my parents what I have found"! suddenly he realizes he's not home back in his world! Maleki starts to cry, he starts to panic! " how am I going to get home!! He hears a whisper in his ear, looks down a the pocketbook, sees that there is more to the letter! it says "turn the page", so he turns the page, then sees a drawing, one that looks just like the one he was just working on! he's excited and confused, he then starts to look at the drawing then the next thing that happens is he's back in his room where he originally at before he shot off. Maleki starts to look around a little dazed but good, feeling amazed at what just happened. then he gets up to go tell his mother, and as he's getting up he hears a crash. He had just kicked the bag of gold coins!

Ahead of Time
“Well, this is a bust”, Vincent lamented quietly. He'd gone through 2 cups of tea while waiting for any sign of who might own the briefcase by his feet; and so far nobody had caught his eye. He whipped out the small, black-leather bound Moleskine notebook and re-read the passage. Concordia street, check. Small business Cafe, check. This was definitely the place the text referred to. The book claims they should have been here an hour ago but nothing had struck him as odd about any patrons of the cafe.

Heist Hades
“You do not seem exactly dead,” Charon observed of his passenger, as they pushed off from the livings’ shore. “I’m just frozen, technically,” Niesha said, not looking back at the towering figure, but instead staring blankly at the small black notebook in her hands.

Bringing Home Atlantis
"That is an amazing question," I say turning to my chalkboard, "How do we even get to Atlantis?" I grab my piece of white chalk and begin to write, "When looking back at Ancient Greece, we run into the philosopher Plato. He alludes to a journal that documents how to gain passage to Atlantis and this book, 'The Philosopher's Journal' talks about a power source the Atlanteans possessed that was more powerful than even the Sun, giving them electricity and great advancements in technology. With this journal to lead us to Atlantis, we would not only make the discovery of the century but bring that technology back to the surface world."

Strings of Fate
Society. It’s a funny thing if you really think about it. It’s built on an intricate system of people’s morals, ideas, opinions; and ultimately influences how the world works. Well at least that’s how it once was. That was until the Great Panic. There was a time where life was more complex. People left their own fates in the hands of society, and their life wasn’t set in stone, influenced by decisions and events. I know. Sounds crazy right? After the massive pandemic that took root globally, people lost faith in society and no longer believed that the fates of others should be left to nothingness. This is where people began to panic and obsess over their fates and how decisions impacted them. People became so paranoid with their lives it drove them to insanity. It was the outburst of insanity that caused chaos throughout the world. Riots, massacres, arson, vandalism, etc. It all wreaked havoc on the world, with no way to contain the problem. That’s when The Visions came into light.

The Crows Burden
Crowe stared at his helmet while listening to the chanting inside the arena. Crowds like this always long for blood, and it doesn’t matter who’s is spilled so long as the masses are sated. As he stared into the slits of his helmet, his sins stared back. The chanting faded away as Crowe lost himself in the memories until He heard the faintest whisper echoing inside his mind. “Are you ready?” the voice whispered as the chanting got louder. Crowe startled to reality and hesitated to answer before he muttered “not particularly, however jobs a job”.

Warped History
Speeding through downtown Seattle on the maglev train, Sophia noticed not only the diversity of the population but the growth of the city as well. In the early part of the twenty-first century, Seattle was struggling to shed its image as a coffee bean hippie mecca and attract more of the tech market, in particular the space geeks. Glancing around the sleek but inviting train interior, it seems like the city planners got it right. Ever since the US got to Mars, the Emerald City exploded, bringing the space program and its requisite engineers with it. Sophia was part of that migration, leaving the sultry steamy Florida everglades for the cold but cool Seattle skyline.
