extraterrestrial
Speculation, theory, UFOs and Aliens. Are we alone in this universe or is there life outside Earth?
Everything Red
It has begun to tarnish now, and that fact pulls my mouth into a sad line. I trace its intricate designs, remembering all of the times my grandmother recounted the story of how her aunt had passed it down to her and how she knew that I must have it. This little golden heart that sits at my heart holds the same pressure I have felt since the day I came into the world.

Unofficial Report Document: I did what I had to do. Okay, I am writing this to cover my own ass if any of this comes out. I was engaged by Captain K_____________ on a mission to retrieve an object on a post-apocalyptic Tier-4 planet and the mission went very badly. This is how I am interpreting it. This document will be stored with my other papers, so I do not expect to have this timestamped beyond the safe where it is kept and the lodging where I awaited my instructions. Again, I was taken onto a mission by a senior officer. I followed orders. I obeyed.

The Lockett of Lethropia
As the cosmic dust settle's on the ripped apart cracked earth, the tempature exceeding 189° Fahrenheit. The last of the indigenous animals fried smoking bodies scattered about. When the Creatures Invaded
I’ve been sitting alone in this room for hours. The only thing that stands out is my heart-shaped locket on the table. I’m trying not to to look at it, but there’s nothing else to look at in this room ! The walls are all gray, this chair is steel, the floor is also metallic, and my clothes are just as gray as everything else. Im sick of this color! Still, I don’t dare look at the necklace. I know the creatures are watching, and I don’t want to draw attention to myself. The creatures can see EVERYTHING, physical and invisible, and they don’t need cameras or eyeballs to do it. I doubt they’re interested in the “physical” anyways. They use their invisible power far more often. The creatures have a powerful piece of technology that makes all human weaponry seem primitive in comparison. At our facility, we call this technology, EMR, electromagnetic radiation, based on a theory that a group of college students came up with.

Canary
Mars smelled like blood. Before what scientists called the Amalgamation, no one had ever had reason to wonder what the different planets smelled like. Why would that information ever be necessary? The non-Earth members of the solar system were distant, largely unattainable ideas, aromas hidden under atmospheric irregularity and the thick black shield of space helmets. Then the Sun’s magnetism reversed, and the bodies in the solar system collided to make Solar Pangaea, the thing that never should have been made.

Orion
The year is 3020 and the only known survivor is a young girl named Orion. The only thing that Orion has left from her parents is the heart shaped locket that she keeps safely around her neck. She ponders to herself as she walks the deserted streets of what was once New York City. “How did this happen?”

Dirt
A thick smell of sulfur hovers over the ice cold ground. My eyes are still adjusting to the small rays of light streaking through the dark, heavy clouds. I feel disoriented and confused about what has happened in the hours that have passed. I stay low to the ground as my mind processes its surroundings. A scene as revealing as it is haunting. It’s as though this area has been leveled out to just dirt and rock. Anything once living here is no longer, so why am I?

My New World
My world ended the day aliens invaded earth to rule over humans because they were looking for a new home and saw us as the weaker species. When we got the announcement from the president we left everything but the clothes on our backs and ran for the forest, where we would be safe along with other families. Me being the fastest got to the tree line before the rest of my family could. After they were gone there was no one else left except me and the heart shaped locket my mother gifted to me. Inside the locket was a portrait of my parents taken before I was born.
