The samurai of Japan fight with them in order to protect the world, but the shōgun cowardly surrenders in front of the aliens realizing their super powers. He signs a contract with the aliens on placing a ban on carrying swords in public and not allowing the invaders to enter the country of japan. All the swords of the samurai are confiscated and the Tokugawa bakufu (shogunate) becomes a puppet governor.
