When I first started looking into zodiacs and astrology, I was instantly fascinated. I already knew that I was an INFP from a Meyers-Briggs test, however I always felt there was more to it. So when I discovered that I was a Scorpio, it was a pretty great day. It explained so much about myself. Which was always hard for me to do. The piercing gaze, strong personality, ect. The intensity we give off usually scares potential partners away, but the power of will in us seems to never die.
What caught my love for my sign was the fact its often associated with the Eagle and Phoenix. Two birds I was always drawn to at a young age. The Eagle, because it represents freedom, and the Phoenix because it represents rebirth. And who wouldn't like to be able to rise from the ashes and be given another chance? Im sure many people do that anyways, regardless of their sign, but for some reason, some time ago, a random astrologer decided it best described a Scorpio. Makes me wonder how many people were tested in order for these general concepts to emerge about each sign.
But one thing most people tend to forget, is that Scorpio was orginally ruled by the planet Pluto before Pluto lost its status. And what's even more cool than that, Sailor Pluto from the series Sailor Moon was a Scorpio. Sailor Mars was an Aries, Mercury was a Gemini, Moon was a Cancer, ect. And that was always cool to me how they incorporated the planets and signs as one on the show. Truly underrated. Much like Pluto.
However, after delving more into its darker side, it started making sense as to why not everyone seemed to like my sign. Often times, when I would share what I am, a lot of hate would be thrown towards me. Which made me look more into it and discovered I am also a Gemini moon, and Leo ascendant. Which was a weird combo in itself but those I am still learning about. I know a pretty general outlook on the signs.
A Gemini is known to be analytical, and one of the smartest signs, and Leo tend to be born in the spotlight. So my guess is, with the combination provided maybe I was meant for a STEM career. However, those topics of education never pleased me as much as writing. I honestly despised science and math classes in school. I did well, but they were daunting activities. Whereas writing, always came easy to me. Plus, there were a bunch of authors who were also Scorpios. To my demise, Stephen King was not a Scorpio. But Neil Gaimen and Kurt Vonnegut were so that's a real upper there. I enjoyed their styles growing up.
And of course, my two celeb heartthrobs are as well. Leonardo DiCaprio and Ryan Gossling. And who would have guessed Katy Perry and Willow Smith to also be Scorpios? I guess, in a sense, we can pick each other out. Maybe a super power of some kind, not sure. But I always found that if I thoroughly enjoyed the art someone had put out, it usually meant they were one of my own. Its just the unique draw we have towards people. And in a world where commitment is sort of a scared topic to face, that type of magnetism can be frightening for some. But if done well, it can't be completely avoided. After all, once a Scorpio knows what it's after, nothing can stop it.
All in all, this sign is who I am, and there's no need for the shade. Not all of us want your man, or career. We tend to make our own way on this planet.
