Mysticism Meet Realism
A Treatise On A Blended ECO-NOMY
Basing an economy on finite resources that are not quickly replacable, is a shortsighted, under intellectualized presumption, devoid of Spirit....
At this point, there is really no use in continuing to refute the dire circumstances that the fate of humanity is facing. It reminds me of the scene from The Holy Grail, (please say you know John Cleese classic) where the black knight is insisting “it’s just a flesh wound”
Some very wise people are being abjectly ignored to this very day. Some of these people refer this century, as the lost century. A Century where our outdated and obsolete technological and economic approaches, are taking disastrous tolls on humanity and the planet. Innovations that would solve world problems, are being hidden, and sequestered, from our consciousness.
The question that burns in my heart to answer that destructive refusal, is Why? Why, when there are millions of alternatives that could protect, prolong and provide for as long as the sun shines, are we bent on fossil fuels, forests and gold to be the basis for our economy?
Stay with me, I assure you, the underlying message is hopeful, honest, and realistic. It is from the heart and mind of a dreamer, an innovator, a Mother and a Grandmother. It is from the heart of someone who cares about the future of humanity. Very Very deeply. My column is about nature and consciousness. This allows me to have a very broad spectrum of topics, all carefully crafted to provide opportunities for connection with nature and ourselves. Also with expanded consciousness that will elevate humanities presence on Earth.
Lately I have been writing about something I have never dipped my toes into. Bitcoin and NFT. Mathematicians and coders world wide are striving every day to re-invent the economy in some fascinating ways. You can read more about this here
What if we could shift our economy away from resource based assets? What if we could monetize every creation or investment and keep them?
Yes this is a have and eat cake proposal
what if we could create an economy based on regeneration of land, river and ocean? Harvesting the resources that we have added to the water, earth, and air?
I read a book long ago, and many times since, called The Fifth Sacred ThingWritten by Starhawk. The story takes place in our current times but was written in 1993. It fortells some very troubling prospective issues for humanity. It also demonstrates an alternative to the hate driven economic and spiritual disseminations we are facing.
The Fifth Element is essentially the connected spirit of humanity, with the earth and with each other.
However far from spiritual the idea of bitcoin and NFT may seem, I feel that it is an economic opportunity to re direct the societal implications of destruction of ecosystems and onto our human contributions.
Poverty could be ended globally through these concepts.
Further, the replacement of fossil fuel with highly renewable resource of hemp, which can replace every single use we have for fossil fuel, from fuel to fabric, paper and building material. Away from a non-renewable resource to a regenerative and perpetual economic golden age. Which in turn would heal the planet and the hearts of humanity.
Mental health IS intrinsically connected to the environment and it's well being. How could it not be? How does a child who's mother is being abused turn out okay? They DONT.
In conclusion, however hopeless you may perceive humanities prospects to be, that is only if we refuse to embrace new concepts and levels of awareness that foster healing and regeneration.
Waking up is not a woke thing to do, it is not a fad, or a passing fancy. It is not Utopian idealism.
It is Logic, married to Magic, it is Science married to Spirit and it is Freedom married to Collaboration
