Us Humans Are Too Curious for Our Own Good
When the New Horizons space probe launched in 2007 I couldn’t wait for it to reach Pluto in 2015 and finally reveal many secrets of that mysterious dwarf planet. Once that time came I was fascinated to read about the physical details of Pluto that had never been seen before, such as Pluto giving off x-rays. I experience the exact same curiosity whenever a new extrasolar planet is discovered, as well as distant quasars (almost as old as the universe itself).

The Tale of the Monster Hunters, Part 2
On the next flight they could catch, Jax and Dasia were on their way to Buckingham Palace. But this wasn't their first trip here. Flight records show that on business, the hunters flew to London 86 times, clocking up frequent flyer miles and Dasia developing a teddy souvenir collection, which apparently drove Jax crazy. I've seen the collection, and it's quite impressive. So I guess my theory is, is that some of the reward money was kept to feed this addiction; not that anybody would have a problem with it considering all they've done for us.

Chapter One: The Ember Core Beau watched the shopkeeper patiently, waiting for his chance to steal his freshly baked meat pies. The fat merchant used a dirty old rag to wipe the sweat off his bald head, which reflected the beaming morning sun like a mirror. He spoke rapidly with his customers as he sold his various drinks and foodstuffs. The market was brimming with people going about their daily business of buying and selling, ignoring the dirty orphan dressed in street rags.

Review of Somewhere Between Finale
Well, Somewhere Between concluded last night with a photograph. I'm tempted to hum Ringo's song "Photograph" — I've heard it a few times in the past few weeks on the Beatles Channel, and it sounded good, but no, it wasn't that kind of photograph at the end of Somewhere Between. It was a snapshot of a happy family at a wedding, and I won't say anything more, because no point in trafficking in spoilers.

Space telescopes and ground-based telescopes have been discovering a wide variety of exoplanets in the last few decades - several thousand have been found so far and the estimated total number is in the billions in our galaxy alone. Now, astronomers have found the first exoplanet with titanium oxide in its atmosphere. The chemical compound is rare on Earth but can be found in the atmosphere of some cooler stars.
