Waking Nightmare
There was the most blank expression upon his face. Jaw slack but lips still closed, he stared off at a distant spot. Chief of Police, Urie Havoc, waved his hand in front of the male's face in an attempt to bring him around, but there was no response. Resting his hand back down to hook a finger into his belt, Urie glanced to the other cop in the doorway.

Pascal's Wager, and Why God Likes Skeptics
For many, the existence of God is unquestionable, and for others, God is an impossibility. However, for those who are undecided, philosopher Blaise Pascal presents a basis on which to decide. Pascal’s wager explains that the rewards of faith, if correct, are infinite, and that the rewards of disbelief, if correct, grant nothing. Not only is there no reward for atheists, but the price of being wrong means eternal damnation, while the price believers must pay, if wrong, is insignificant. While it may seem persuasive on first glance, the truth of Pascal’s wager is rooted in a false option, and, if given legitimacy, is the death for the rational defenses of God, by deeming them irrelevant. Between numerous critics there are a plethora of problems weaved into the foundation of Pascal’s wager. With such controversy surrounding Pascal’s pragmatic approach to the belief in God, should it be considered legitimate?

All during that time, Alex kept checking for any signs of activity but Big Ben appeared completely lifeless. His once powerful arms hung limp at his sides; several of the high pressure hydraulic hoses were severed and empty of the vital fluid that was needed for Ben's arms to operate.

The Jyro and Mystie Series 2
March: a good time to rethink of the weather and mourn the loss of the holiday that just passed us. The weather is cloudy with a chance of rain, which is more likely than anything else. If it was going to snow outside, I'd be more than happy to make snow angels and wait outside.

Calibration Room
Walls of them stood in front of Apeiron as she tapped her foot aggressively. There were small ones and big ones, some hummed and others vibrated. There were planets called Proxima B and others that were only pronounced with a single syllable or sound. She smiled when the one called Earth floated in the air toward her.

Together Until Death
She opened her apartment door to hundreds of sunflowers and knew instantly that he’d found her. Taking a deep breath, Cassandra stepped through the threshold, jumping from one place to another. The sound of a branch breaking behind her induced fear, and she spun around quickly as a man emerged from the sunflowers, grinning. His eyes were nefarious, though their color was bright and silver, and his face was covered in scars.
