Where Do We Go from Here?
“Science fiction is dying. Everything is science fact now.” Wrong. Science fiction will die only if the world ends tomorrow. Otherwise, what is not, will become. As ever. Cycles will spring from each new baseline; invention will remain inspired by our current and future capability.

Review of 'Counterpart' 1.2
Counterpart was back last night with episode 1.2—on Amazon Prime, for me, because Starz is no longer on Cablevision in my area, which I suspect is not Starz's fault, at least in this reality. As for the episode, it was quite good, and moved the story forward in at least one big way.

Chapter 2: 20 Years Later
A boy stood on his porch watching the sunrise. He wore dirty brown pants covered in mud and other stains, along with a white shirt with a brown vest over it. He had golden brown hair and his eyes were a beautiful auburn color. He was both muscular and a little chubby, and he was about 21 years old. He was watching the gates of the city where he lived as if waiting for something—or someone.

Carthinova
The grass was lush here. Those who reside on No Man’s Land knew not of what lie beneath the gaudy foliage. We were blanketed in the thick black of early morning, the Stars our only source of light. Pegasus was hanging low in view. The street lights off, our descent into the tunnels below was made easy. For the safety of the public, a curfew had been enacted between the hours of 9pm-7am. And yet, here we were.

The Akashic Records
Many people, not just myself, can access the Akashic Records. The Akashic Records are defined as a huge record of everything ever spoken all over the universe, also encompassing different dimensions since we have to count those too, when you are contemplating the existence of other civilizations besides ours. You can’t read the Akashic Records for somebody else without permission but you can read for yourself. I’m sure every mean thing ever spoken to me is in the records, from anybody who was ever mean to me for a dumb reason.

Pluto in Capricorn
Dante Alighieri, in his 14th Century play The Divine Comedy, immortalized Italian Astronomer Guido Bonatti, who served as advisor to Frederick II, The Holy Roman Emperor. In Dante's Inferno, the 8th circle of Hell is a place where those who would divine the future have their heads turned around. This ironic, eternal punishment forces those damned to the 8th circle, to look always backwards, instead of forwards. Galileo Galilei overturned the old Astrological order during the Renaissance, with his use of Astronomical Observations, and Horoscopes. The 17th Century practice of using Astrology and Astronomy became distinctly separate. Astronomy became a science. Astrology was considered a form of divination, and became an art. The old Astrology used by the Babylonians no longer existed. The separation of the two sciences helped drive the development of Astronomy.

Brutalist Stories #46
There’s a futility in their action, but there’s hope. At least they have that. They built this vast, vast hall out of the last of the concrete, out of the last of the wood, out of the last of our labour and physical strength, out of the last of our knowledge so we could perhaps float away into our extinction with a moment of clarity, a moment of beauty.
