Ep. 107 - Living Without Earth Part 2

Forget the spacestation! That's dangerous! Let's get some ground under our feet.

By Bring On The WeirdPublished 5 years ago 3 min read

This week we bring you another thrilling episode about the prospect of living without our planet. We mainly focus on the aspect of physically living on Mars. What sort of problems would we run into? Would we need a government right away, or at all? Where would you choose to set up a colony if it wasn't Mars? We obviously don't know the answers to any of these questions but we sit around and discuss the possibilities and just like every episode we go off on a few tangents. Grab a beer, your favorite Martian and settle in as we bring on the weird!

It’s more likely than not that the first colonists to another planetary body will be going on a one way trip. If humans populate the moon that may not be the case, but Mars and beyond will likely be a one way trip. Meaning, if you go you will spend the rest of your life living out your days that are just a bit longer than Earth’s and kicking around the red sands of Mars while performing experiments to understand more and more about that red ball out there.

Would you be up to the task of leaving Earth behind to live out your life on Mars? Head to our Apple Podcast page or Podchaser page, drop 5 stars, and tell us if you’re ready for your Mars life? Who needs actual reviews? We want to know what your answer is.
