Dreams inside the Cockpit: A Pakistani female’s Flight Plan:

How one WhatsApp fame became a project to fly—and why the sky isn’t the limit

By The Writer...A_AwanPublished 3 months ago 3 min read

I used to think only boys have become pilots. Fighter jets, cockpits, aviation academies—they all felt like remote goals reserved for a person else. someone taller, louder, braver. someone now not like me.

Then one day, I posted a WhatsApp status:

The sky isn’t the restrict. Your mindset is.”

It become supposed to be a shaggy dog story. however it hit me harder than I expected.

That single line became my turning factor.

👀 The Questions begin

The instant I started posting approximately my dream, the questions got here flying in—quicker than any jet I’d ever seen.

Do you need to be a pilot? You’re a girl“what is this fame about?”

“the day prior to this, we had visitors at domestic. They have been asking: ‘what is this link you maintain posting?’”

I smiled. I cringed. I hesitated. however I didn’t forestall.

Each query become proof that i used to be visible. That my dream changed into loud enough to be heard. And if it became loud enough to be wondered, it become loud enough to be pursued.

🎯 The studies section

I started digging into what it takes to end up a pilot in Pakistan. seems, there are essential paths:

  1. Pakistan Air pressure (PAF) – The elite route. Fighter jets. country wide satisfaction. Rquirements: FSc with Physics, age 16–22, ISSB check, and schooling at Risalpur.
  2. Civil Aviation – business pilot license (CPL) via flying schools. requirements: Intermediate education, clinical health, and a whole lot of money.
  • I didn’t have the cash. however I had the mindset.
  • I didn’t have the uniform. but I had the urgency.
  • I didn’t have the cockpit. but I had the braveness.

💻 The digital Hustle

On account that I couldn’t fly yet, I commenced writing.

I grew to become my dream into memories.

I published on Vocal Media, although it’s blocked in Pakistan.

I used VPN. I used reputation teasers. I used humor and honesty.

One day, I earned $0.01 from a tale.

It felt like 1,000,000. Because a person, someplace, clicked.

Someone read.

A person felt something.

😔 The shame segment

However then got here the shame. now not mine—different humans’s.

You post popularity updates every day?”

what's this hyperlink?

What do your own family members assume?”

I wanted to hide. I wanted to delete the whole thing. however I didn’t. alternatively, I wrote this line:

yes, I publish every day. yes, I earn daily. you can strive it too.”

And much like that, shame was method.

✨ The Imagined Takeoff

I haven’t flown a aircraft but. but I’ve flown through doubt. I’ve flown through hesitation. I’ve flown via each “what's this?” that tried to clip my wings. I believe my first flight like this: I stroll into the cockpit. I touch the controls. I whisper to myself:

“That is for each girl who turned into informed to stay grounded.

and then I take off.

🌍 The worldwide question

A few humans ask:

If Vocal is blocked in Pakistan, why are you posting stories there?”

Right here’s my answer:

Dreams don’t follow borders. And neither have to memories.”

US readers won’t be indignant. They received’t be confused.

They’ll study. They’ll sense. And perhaps, they’ll fly too.

Vocal tracks reads globally. whether it’s a person in new york or someone in Lahore the usage of VPN, each click counts. each read matters. every tale has a pulse.

💬 final words

Even nowadays, humans ask:

what's this?”

I say:

That is my flight. you could take off too.”

So in case you’re studying this, recognize that you’re a part of my flight plan. You’re part of the motive I’ll attain the cockpit one day. And after I do, I’ll submit one final fame:

“I became a pilot. reputation off. Sky on.”
