John Boyega Shares Details On The Sequel Trilogy That We Should Have Gotten
When The Rise of Skywalker came out, it shed further light on the idea that the sequel trilogy was not very well planned out. The month after the film's release, people became aware of another Episode IX script titled Duel of the Fates, which was written when Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow was still attached to direct Episode IX. The script included a more prominent role for Finn than what we got in The Rise of Skywalker, which shows him meeting other former stormtroopers like Jannah but did not lead to the stormtrooper uprising that many fans were hoping to see.

Ewan McGreggor Confirms That The Obi-Wan Series Has Been In Development For Six Years
The Obi-Wan Kenobi series starring Ewan McGregor has long been in the works. Even going as far back as the lead-up to The Force Awakens, I remember when fans were hoping for an Obi-Wan Kenobi movie. Over the years, there were rumors and reports that it was happening. In interviews, Ewan McGregor said that he would like to return to the role. Finally, at Disney's D23 Expo last year, it was confirmed that the story would happen as a series, when Ewan McGregor met up with Lucasfilm's president Kathleen Kennedy onstage. At that time, McGregor mentioned how he had spent a long time trying not to reveal anything in interviews until the project was announced officially. It seems like this has been happening for a long time.

George Lucas Always Wanted Luke To Die In 'Episode VIII'
Last week, Culture Slate featured an article that highlighted some of the new information found in Pablo Hidalgo’s latest publication, Star Wars: Fascinating Facts. Though the concept of George Lucas and Luke Skywalker's story arc was mentioned briefly, it is an interesting point worthy of a deeper look. On page 140 of Star Wars: Fascinating Facts, Hidalgo states:

All The Information We Have about 'Star Wars Rebels' Sequel, And 'The Bad Batch' Show
Star Wars 3D animation has become such a huge part of Star Wars over the last 12 years. During the years when no new episodes were being produced for The Clone Wars, we got a successor of sorts called Star Wars Rebels. That particular show had a satisfying ending, but it left the door open for further adventures of the characters who remained. It feels open-ended and not quite like a concrete conclusion. Later, The Clone Wars was finally given its final season, during which it featured the elite squad known as the Bad Batch. Months later, it was announced that The Bad Batch would be the next Star Wars animated series, coming sometime in 2021. But what about the Rebels sequel series that fans have been expecting?

Rahul Kohli Is NOT Playing Ezra Bridger In 'The Mandalorian'
Arguably, the best thing about Star Wars is the fans. There are long term fans and new generation fans. People grew up with Star Wars and became obsessed or actually fulfilled their dreams by working on one of the Star Wars projects. Besides that, Star Wars has also had a huge influence on many things. For example, early on, it influenced Fox to make 1979’s Alien. Ridley Scott actually approached Fox before the original Star Wars came out, but the idea was shot dow at down at the time. It was not until the success of Star Wars in 1977 that they felt more open to doing a space movie like Alien.

Taika Waititi's 'Star Wars' Movie Preparing for Scotland Shooting Location
Star Wars fans were elated to find out in May that Taika Waititi was going to be directing a new Star Wars film. His work contributing to the direction and acting of The Mandalorian was so successful that he was given a movie directing role. Ever since then, there have been all sorts of speculation as to what this film could be about or where and when it may take place. However, since Taika Waititi is currently still working with Marvel Studios and writing the script for Thor: Love and Thunder (which starts filming in January), it may be a while before we find out anything more about what the new Star Wars film will be about. From what little has been said, we do know that Taika Waititi is already on the screenwriting process of the new Star Wars film. And in the past week, there has been some more new and exciting news.

Star Wars: Top 5 Prequel Trilogy Characters
Before we get started, I want to clarify that I will be cheating slightly with this ranking. I will be including some characters from the Clone Wars series, which plays a pivotal role in this trilogy. I know I am giving a little more attention to this ranking, and no, that doesn't mean that I like the prequel trilogy more than the original classics. However, I really connect with some of these characters, so I am giving this list special attention.

'The Mandalorian': Could We See A Familiar Jedi Team Up With Mando?
In recent memory, two of the Star Wars projects that have united fandom are the Disney+ TV series The Mandalorian and the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Both were released in November 2019, and they were met with a lot of positive reception from the fans. Just as people want to mix peanut butter and chocolate to combine the best of both worlds, it would make some degree of sense to combine the characters of these properties.

Fan Favorite Cal Kestis' Lightsaber Is Coming to Galaxy's Edge
Of all of the Star Wars video games to come out in recent years, none have been as beloved as last year's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It is the first Star Wars game to actually feel like a complete, immersive Star Wars game since the original Battlefront II, in my opinion. The recent Battlefront games have received mixed reviews from critics and fans alike for its microtransactions. Jedi: Fallen Order was a mega hit, and likely paved the way for Disney to feel comfortable releasing Star Wars: Squadrons. It showed that people could truly love Star Wars games again. With more DLC for the game and a sequel likely in the works, fans will hopefully get more of what they loved about the original game.

Obi-Wan Actually Hid Luke From The Rebellion Not The Empire
Many Star Wars fans know the classic story: Skywalker twins are born, they are separated to be hidden from the Emperor, and Ben Kenobi watches over one of them (Luke). There is no doubt that they were to be hidden from the Empire. Ben Kenobi says as much in Return of the Jedi, and we see this play out at the end of Revenge of the Sith. However, a recent theory presents an interesting possibility.

Why Palpatine Didn't Taken On Another Apprentice After ROTJ
There are several things that have confused or annoyed fans with the new Star Wars sequels, The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker. But one in particular is that it is never fully explained what happened with the whole Palpatine/Snoke storyline. Fans had many questions surrounding it, such as who Snoke was exactly, or how Palpatine survived the end of Return of the Jedi. One of the questions, why Palpatine never actually took another apprentice after Return of the Jedi, is finally answered in a section of The Star Wars Book.

There Is A 'Mandalorian' Movie Possibly In Development
The Mandalorian has been so successful that it has united much of the Star Wars fandom after a few divisive films. In terms of the visuals, the quality of the series is comparable to what one might see on the big screen. With that in mind, there may be some who would love to see a film spin off of the series and onto the big screen. In fact, series creator Jon Favreau himself seems open to the idea, saying that
