Aliens have visited us…or have they?
Maybe, maybe not.

I am a fan of that History show Ancient Aliens. It is fiction, and entertainment, but it gives you food for thought. Maybe we have been visited in the past by aliens, maybe they helped us developed civilization. George Tsoukolos, (that guy with the crazy hair) is quite persuasive.
The universe is infinitely huge, the Milky Way, our galaxy, which is an insignificant galaxy in the known universe, and which hosts our insignificant planet in it, is just one of billions of galaxies in our segment of the known universe, and galaxies hold hundreds of billions of suns (stars)

in them, which have at least one earthlike planet orbiting around them. But the distance is so far between each planet and galaxy that we and probably they will never be able to visit each other. Maybe some alien species has survived their evolutionary growth without killing each other and their planet and has discovered a speed faster than light and so can cover the distance between stars and galaxies and therefore are able to visit us, but maybe not. There might be another possibility.
Human beings are about 100,000 years old, according to the fossil record. Hominid pre-homo sapien are about 1 million years old, modern Homo sapiens are about 40,000 years old ( think Hunter/gatherers like San bushman). Civilization started in the Fertile Crescent region ( Ur, Assyria, Mesopotamia, Babylon) was about 8 thousand years ago. The great Roman Empire was about 3 thousand years ago. The British empire ended about 50 years ago, space rockets were invented during world war 2 in 1944 and developed right after, and the space race between Russia and the U.S. got underway in 1969 when we landed on the moon. Now our space craft have landed on Mars. In just a very short time. But Earth has been around for about 400 million years. Dinosaurs lived for hundreds of millions of years, but the earth wasn’t habitable for humans until about 65 million years ago, so is it possible that we have evolved into a technologically advanced species several times in all these years, then destroyed ourselves, came back again and rose to even higher technology, where we were able to go into space to inhabit other close planets until Earth naturally solved human mistakes, and then we came back and started again making a new beginning, and we have just forgotten. Maybe all the tales of space travelers coming from the stars is not a myth, but a documented memory by us of us in cave paintings, and clay tablets, of our repeated evolution and return. It is not so unreasonable to imagine. We have proved we can space travel to the moon and to Mars. In just a relatively short period of time, so why couldn’t we have done it before, even several times. It is more likely to be done than traveling at speeds faster than light and aliens visiting us from across the universe. Maybe this time we will record our civilization and our technological achievements so that we wont forget after the next time we have to evacuate Earth and live on another planet for awhile. Or forever if Earth falls into the sun and burns up., which seems to be what is happening now. Maybe we as a species will find another planet to ruin. After all, there are a lot of them to do it to. I just hope we find a planet as beautiful as Earth is and that we have learnt our lesson with how we have ruined this planet and don’t do it again.
