Worth The Wait Part7

Part 7

By Crystal CanePublished about a year ago Updated about a year ago 8 min read

“Damn, Monica. I never realized you were a functioning alcoholic!” Crystal let out a small laugh and took her shot of whiskey. She winced and placed her glass down on the bar top. Monica finished her shot and wiped the liquor from her bottom lip.

“Hey, I am not an alcoholic, but I do like to have a drink every now and then. Granted, I’m not a lightweight either, like some people I know.” She smirked and looked at Crystal playfully. She noticed that Crystal was a little intoxicated and was smiling and laughing more than she had ever seen her do, ever. It was refreshing to watch her joke around outside of work.

Crystal was starting to feel the effects of her spirits and unbuttoned the top two buttons on her shirt, revealing her plump, caramel cleavage. “Whew, I really needed this, though. Today was a bitch.”

Monica couldn’t help herself. Her gaze slowly traveled down Crystal’s neckline. Her skin glistened from her minor perspiration, and she could feel herself staring. She blinked her way back into reality and swallowed. Looking up at the flatscreen overhead to deflect, she said, “Oh, don’t mention it. I could tell today was stressful for you. It’s honestly a pleasure to see you in this, how shall I say, ‘rare form.’”

Crystal chuckled and grabbed the bar menu that lay beside her. “Let’s get some wings. My rare form is starving!” Her phone vibrated as she flipped through the pages of the menu. Monica side-eyed the screen and saw the name “Cane” with a black heart emoji. Well, damn, that answered the question of whether she was seeing anyone, but she honestly didn’t care. She was still going to shoot her shot. Crystal reached for her phone but declined the call.

“Hey, you go ahead and take that. I’m going to go to the restroom.” Monica excused herself from the bar top.

Standing in the mirror, fluffing out her tresses, Monica told herself that tonight, she was going to tell Crystal how she really felt about her. She couldn’t stand keeping quiet any longer. She didn’t even know if she was into women, but she had to at least try. She had never been one to run away from a challenge. She pulled a tube of brown lip gloss from her purse and applied it to her full lips.

She was like the perfect mix of coffee and cream in terms of skin tone. She had hazel eyes and shoulder-length, dark brown curly hair. She had the kind of physique that made heads turn and jaws drop. Her body was a perfect blend of strength and softness. Sculpted muscles wrapped in curves that flowed effortlessly. Her shoulders were broad, tapering into toned arms, and yet her waist remained narrow, accentuating the fullness of her hips. Her legs were long and powerful, with thighs that showed the strength of an athlete, but still had a feminine softness. She was thick in all the right places. Her figure and face were a testament to natural beauty, embodying a sensuality that was both strong and soft.

She rejoined Crystal back at the bar. They had a few more drinks, shared some food, Monica paid the bill, and they walked out to the parking lot.

“Thanks again for the night out. It is very much appreciated!” The city was buzzing with life, and as the wind blew softly on her face, Monica’s confidence kicked into overdrive thanks to the elements and the whiskey. As they got closer to their cars, she grabbed Crystal’s hand.

Crystal looked shocked but not offended. She laughed and asked, “What’s wrong, is it too dark out here for you?”

Monica looked at Crystal and took a deep breath. “Crys, I have something I’ve been wanting to say to you for a while now. I know we’re friends and co-workers, and I don’t want to make things awkward between us, but I can’t keep this in any longer. I feel something for you—something more than just friendship. It’s like a fire inside of me that I can’t ignore. I’m drawn to everything about you—your bravery, your intelligence, your beauty—and I want you. More than just a friend, more than just a co-worker.”

Crystal’s eyes widened in surprise at Monica’s confession. Her heart pounded as she processed the words, a mix of emotions swirling inside her. She hadn’t expected this, especially not from Monica. A nervous laugh escaped her lips as she tried to gather her thoughts.

“Monica,” she started, her voice soft but unsure. “I… I didn’t know you felt that way about me.” She paused, biting her lip as she considered her next words. “I’ve had some experiences in the past, you know, with women, but I’m actually seeing someone right now.” Crystal hesitated, feeling the warmth of the alcohol in her veins, making her bolder, more daring. “But… maybe it’s the drinks talking, but I feel something between us too.

That spark.”

Her voice dropped to a whisper as she leaned in closer, her breath warm against Monica’s cheek.

“I shouldn’t, but…” Monica moved closer to Crystal, embracing her body. She still held her hand, and with her free hand, she grabbed her lower back. She couldn’t believe they were this close. She smelled so good. She felt Crystal’s phone vibrate in her pocket and knew that would break the momentum they had. She let go of her hand and gently placed her index and middle finger on Crystal’s jawline.

“Please, kiss me.”

Their lips met, and it was like fireworks. They both moaned a sigh of relief. Their lips were warm, soft, and full. Monica slowly entered her tongue into Crystal’s mouth, and her heart was beating out of her chest. She tasted whiskey and passion. She moved her hand away from Crystal’s face and began to caress her breasts. Her shirt was still unbuttoned two buttons down from before, and she unbuttoned one more. Her skin was warm and a little damp from sweat. They leaned against Monica’s car, and she unlocked the door from the handle. Gently pushing Crystal into the backseat of her spacious SUV, Monica climbed in and closed the door behind her. She was in the seat on her knees, leaning in, hovering in front of Crystal, whose back was up against the car window. They both giggled a little, and Monica freed Crystal’s breasts from her bra. She swallowed her breast all at once, as if she were a famished infant. She sucked and flicked her tongue around her nipples, firmly gripping them both in her hands. Crystal moaned in delight and leaned forward to lift Monica’s skirt. She moved her panties to the side and felt her flower.

“Oh, yes,” she said aloud, pleased to find her warm and wet. She kissed her neck softly and bit her a little. She entered her middle and ring finger into Monica, and they both moaned in unison again. She was soft and tight. The feeling of being inside her unlocked a memory she had long forgotten. She remembered how much she enjoyed being with a woman—the softness, the scent, the pure femininity. Crystal continued to stroke Monica’s pearl with her thumb and kiss her lips simultaneously. Monica couldn’t believe it was happening. Crystal was intoxicated, but she knew it wasn’t just the liquor. She was too passionate and seemingly experienced, because she was about to climax.

“Oh, Crystal… Oh, shit,” Monica whispered into Crystal’s mouth. Crystal bit her bottom lip and nodded in agreement. She thrust her fingers faster in and out of her until Monica let out a moan so soft and orgasmic that it made Crystal touch herself. Monica pushed Crystal away from her and tried to unbuckle her belt, just as Crystal’s phone vibrated again. Suddenly, she had a moment of clarity and jumped out of her passionate state of mind, reaching for her phone.

It was Cane… again.

“Oh, shit, what am I doing?! This is bad. This was a mistake. I like you, Monica, but this was out of line. I’m sorry for the part I played in this. I gotta go.”

Crystal opened the door and stepped down from the SUV. Fixing her belt and hair, she walked to her car with her phone in hand. She was unlocking it to call Cane back when a black Mercedes-Benz looped into the parking lot. The headlights caught her attention, and she flashed back to the night she saw him while jogging. She squinted her eyes as the car parked. She took a couple of steps forward, and her heart dropped.

“Hello, gorgeous. I’ve been calling you all day.”

Cane rolled down his window halfway and smiled at Crystal. She felt happy, confused, and scared all at once. Happy to see him because she loved him and hadn’t seen him in over a month, she had been missing him. Confused because how the fuck did he know where she was? And scared because she had just fingered her coworker in her backseat less than 60 seconds ago. She walked to the car beaming, because any other reaction would set off an alarm that something was up, which at this point, she had a feeling he already knew. She just wasn’t sure exactly what he knew. Hell, she was still stuck on trying to figure out what he was doing in town and whether he killed anybody last night.

“Baby! I love you so much. What are you doing here?” She started to run towards the car, and he opened the door to welcome her greeting. They embraced one another, and he kissed her deeply and passionately, lifting her off her feet in his arms. He placed her down gently and looked deep into her eyes.

“We need to go somewhere to be alone. I’ve missed you insanely, but we need to talk. I’ve been trying to reach you all day. Will you come with me?”

Crystal felt a cold pit in her stomach. “What about my car? I can’t just leave my car here.”

“Fine, you can follow me. I know a place we can go.”

He kissed her once more and walked back to his car. Crystal stood there for a few more seconds, then finally walked away to her car. She forgot about Monica until she heard her SUV start up. She just kept walking. She sat behind the wheel of her car and immediately sobered up. Cane looped around in front of her, and she followed him out of the parking lot. Following him into the city lights with no idea where she was going, she let her window down to feel the wind on her skin.

As Crystal drove through the city, the weight of what had just happened settled heavily on her. The thrill of Monica's touch still lingered on her skin, but so did the reality of Cane's unexpected arrival. The night had spiraled out of control, and now, with Cane leading the way, she couldn’t shake the gnawing uncertainty about what lay ahead. She knew she had crossed a line, and the consequences were beginning to unfold. Glancing in her rearview mirror, she saw Monica’s SUV fading into the distance, and with it, the possibilities of what might have been. Her heart pounded with a mix of fear, guilt, and confusion as she followed Cane into the unknown, the city lights reflecting the turmoil inside her.

The best line out of pure gems may be "Crystal felt a cold pit in her stomach." From all that she had been involved with in terms of Monica to now Cane, this story sets up for constant drama and surprise twists. I will share.
