The Tempest

The Perfect Storm

HER:

I have always abided by every rule. I have never broken any laws. I have always restraint myself from many things but that night, in that room I set myself free. I did things that I never knew I can even do. I let myself go and ended my existence because that night I began to live.

My hands looked as if I just finished washing them, that is how nervous and sweaty I was as I walked down the aisle, staring at the groom and his best man. Then the bridal chorus began and everyone stood up because behind me comes the bride. Everything was beautiful. The Hyatt Regency Greenwich couldn’t have been any less perfect for my best friend’s wedding. From the moment you enter the ceremony space all the way into the ballroom. The place where I was then supposed to meet the best man’s brother, whom my friend was trying to hook me up with. I signaled the waiter for a glass of wine from his tray. I was instantly thrown by the impeccably balanced taste of fine tannins, spice and its sensational purity of fruit.

“Mmm, what wine is this?” I asked

“Merlot, ‘The Tempest’, it blows you away right” he replied.

I laughed.

HIM:

As I am trying to focus on the beautiful girl right in front of me, I couldn’t help but look right through everyone in this room, directly to her. She was the most radiant women here, with her wavy long black hair, those big chocolate brown eyes and her full curvy red lips, that kept smiling. She was the only bridesmaid who made the dress look stunning. I then saw her speaking to one of the waiters, she laughed, and her laugh resonated across the room. I have seen many beautiful women, but she was a completely new definition to the word beautiful. She stared at me, we locked eyes and the way she made my blood rush, I knew she was going to be my next prey. I just didn’t know she was going to be my last.

HER:

As I searched the ballroom, after the waiter walked away. I was seized by the way a man across the room was looking at me. He looked incredible, wearing a light blue collard button down, with navy blue suit and black leather dress shoes that went with his black leather belt. We locked eyes and I instantly felt hot. I watched as he engaged in conversation with the best man for a second. He then stood up, fixed his pants and started making his way towards me. I didn’t know what to do, I didn’t know where to go, so I just took another sip and smiled.

“You must be Nicole, it’s nice to finally meet you”, he said

“Oh, you are Kevin”. I responded

“Yes, I’ve heard a lot about you”, he replied

We then walked to the nearest table, sat down and began chatting so effortlessly.

He made me feel at ease, it was as if I was speaking to a good old friend who finally came back from the dead. He was handsome, kind, very smart and can hold a conversation with such fascinating stories. He’s a very curious man, asking so many questions and such a natural flirt with his words, his face expression and his gestures. I just couldn’t look away. He couldn’t take his eyes off of me either. He kept staring at me, had me feeling so out of myself. His eyes had me literally losing my breath. I didn’t notice when I took the last sip of my Merlot and I was wanting more. Which is odd of me, because I barely drink. I needed to get a hold of myself.

“Excuse me Kevin, I need to use the bathroom”

Walking away, I still couldn’t stop looking at him.

HIM:

I closed my eyes and shook my head as she walked out of the ballroom. I took another sip of my Merlot and adjusted myself in my seat. 3mins go by, 5mins go by. I have no idea why, but these minutes felt like the longest minutes in my existence. She brought me to no other choice than to excuse myself from the table and make my way out to find her.

HER:

Fresh air, a breath of fresh air was all I wanted, for just one second and I couldn’t get that, because this bathroom doesn’t have a window. Since when do public bathrooms lack windows. I should’ve sneaked outside for a minute to catch my breath. I closed my eyes and my mind flashed back to him. How he stared at me, making me lose focus to any of the words that were coming out of his mouth. Who knows if I had signed my life away to him by nodding and starring into his hypnotizing eyes? I shook my head and told myself to get a hold of myself. So, I decided to finish up and I walked out of there blaming it all on the Merlot. I was just about to enter the ballroom when I bumped right into him. He looked straight into my eyes and smiled. He signaled the waiter for the last 2 glasses of Merlot on the tray and gave one to me saying, “What do you say we take a walk?”

I simply nodded.

We continued our conversation outside in the atrium, which led to the atrium hallway and somehow upstairs to his reserved suite. Where the last thing he said was, “I’d like to taste more than just this Merlot”.

The next thing I know I grabbed him and kissed him, giving him more to taste than just the merlot. He started unzipping my dress & I watched, as it fell to the ground, he went right down with it and came back up caressing my thighs and making his way up. From my ass, to my boobs, to my face, to my lips with his lips. I licked his neck and nibbled on his ear. He made me moan with one hand pulling my hair and the other pressing me against his bare chest. Skin to skin, he made love to my entire body before making it to the bed where we were in sync and I was finally alive.

HIM:

She was perfect. With such insane telepathy, leaving my thoughts with no privacy. She read my mind & knew exactly what I wanted from her. What I wanted her to do to me, when, where & how. Looking at me with her mesmerizing eyes, piercing right through me. It was a foreign but familiar feeling all at the same time that nothing can compare to. She left me lightheaded, my heart throbbing in my chest and my body wanting more. She was just as exquisite as the Merlot we drank with a medium to full body, and fine complex flavors. From the perfect touch at the beginning to a delicious finish at the end that I still savor in my tastebuds. Just like the wine she was a volcano. An explosion of endless fire and passion that only I could subside, since I was her peaceful rainfall while she was my intense Tempest. It’s funny how the predator became the prey.
