It was supposed to be just another friendly meeting at the bar with friends, but neither of them expected to see each other.

“Hey! Over here!” Eric yelled over the loud noise that filled the bar.

Colin and I walked through the crowd of people who had come to the newly opened bar in town.

“Didn’t think it would be so full,” I smiled as I reached Eric.

“Hey Joe,” Eric smiled as Colin and I sat down.

“What time did you get here?” Colin asked as the place was jam-packed.

“A few hours ago,” Eric stared up at one of the giant television screens. “The pre-game show was pretty good.”

“I bet,” I turned to the screen and saw the game was about to start.

“Where’s the girl you’ve been raving about?” Colin asked.

Colin was skeptical that there was even a girl. Eric was always making up stories about a girl he met or that he was dating some hot cheerleader.

The stories always ended the same way: they decided to break up just before we could meet the person. One time, he even said he was dating a hot Marine woman; of course, she had to be redeployed just before Colin and I could meet her.

“Bathroom,” Eric grinned at us. “You two think there isn’t a woman.”

“We have our doubts,” I admitted as I signaled for some beers.

“I don’t doubt,” Colin was always the one who rained on Eric’s parade the hardest. “I don’t think….”

“Hi,” a busty blonde with a tight football jersey stretched tightly across her large chest and short shorts that hugged her tight ass like a second skin approached our table.

“I think Joe here already placed an order,” Colin told the blonde.

Then she got up onto the stool next to Eric. “Huh?” she asked.

“Joe, Colin, meet….” Eric started to say.

“Hollie?” I interrupted.

“Joseph!” Hollie yelled.

We got down from our seats and hugged immediately.

“I haven’t seen you since high school!” Hollie exclaimed as she looked me up and down. You’ve grown, and wow, look at these!” She squeezed my arms.

“Me! What about you!” I stared at the shapely woman in front of me. “Last time I saw you, you were all skin and bones!”

“Late bloomer,” Hollie smiled as she twirled. “Have to say though, mother nature did most of it but these I had to get added on, to match the back!”

Hollie jutted out her large chest and bent a little to show off her ass.

“You two know each other?” Eric asked as he stared at us.

I could see jealousy settling into his head.

“Relax,” Hollie grinned and slapped Eric’s arm. “We knew each other in high school.”

We took our seats and told Eric that we were in the same classes. The two of us were part of the nerdy crowd, always meeting up and playing D&D or some video game at someone’s house.

“Those were the days!” I smiled.

“Remember carrying our PC’s up to Taylor’s apartment when the elevator went out?” Hollie asked as she looked over at me.

The game had started, and the food had come. I had to admit I hadn’t watched any of the game, and I knew Eric and Colin were getting mad at Hollie and me for talking about the good times.

“Can we watch the game?” Eric turned to face us.

We had switched seats, so I was closer to Hollie.

“He gets grumpy, so easily!” Hollie shook her head. “Come on!”

She took my hand and the basket of fries.

“Where are you going?” Eric asked, but we had already disappeared into the crowd and gone outside. It was quieter out on the deck.

It was also colder out here.

“No one will bother us out here,” Hollie grinned as she sat down. “So,” she smiled at me.

“So, what?” I asked.

“Is there a Mrs. Latanier?”

“Wow, you remembered my last name,” I was thoroughly impressed. Most people couldn’t pronounce my last name.

“How could I not, your father was German, and your mother was Jamaican, the weirdest couple in all of high school!”

“I know I stuck out like a sour thumb in the middle of redneck village!”

“Stil live there, actually,” Hollie admitted. “They tore the school down and built a new one, it’s quite impressive, and it’s no longer redneck village it more like rural suburbia.”

“Oh, I bet they hate it!”

“Are you kidding most of them sold their lands and ran out of there as soon as they saw a Starbucks go up,” Hollie laughed.

We laughed, and I stared at her. “No, there is no other woman,” I admitted and told her about my failed attempts at love.

“Well,” Hollie started as she bit into a fry. “Eric and I have been dating, and only dating for two weeks and I was going to break up with him after tonight.”

“Why is that?” I asked.

Hollie stared at me with those blue eyes. “I think you know,” she shook her head. “He is so….”

“Immature,” I finished the sentence.

“Yes!” Hollie gripped my arm for the eighth time. “And I can take the video games, and the online chatting and role-playing, because it’s how we met, but the always making up stories and the whining about life not going his way and his parents and living at home still. He is forty!”

“Yup,” I nodded.

Hollie and I talked for what seemed like minutes, but when Eric and Colin came out, I realized we had talked through the whole football game.

“We are going?” Eric stated as he looked at Hollie.

“No!” Hollie’s bright demeanor changed as she looked at him. “We are not!”

“Hollie!” Eric barked at her. “Don’t do this again!”

“I better,” I started to stand up.

“Sit down!” Hollie snapped at me in that thick country accent. I knew she had been trying to hide it for the last few hours. “I am not yours! We are dating, keyword dating! I am not your girlfriend, not your wife, and I don’t have to take orders from you like your mom does from your father!”

“Damn!” a person walking by the bar exclaimed. “She told you!”

“Fine, we are over!” Eric shouted.

“No shit!” another person laughed.

Eric stormed away. Colin laughed as we watched Eric get into his Prius.

“Thank you!” Colin smiled and shook Hollie’s hand. “I have been wanting someone to say that about his parents for years!”

“Your welcome,” Hollie smiled back. “Sorry if I broke up your friendship but that needy possessive shit doesn’t fly with me.”

“No, no,” Colin shook his head. “Years, I have been waiting to ditch him for years!”

“Colin and Eric are related,” I explained. “Cousins.”

“I am sorry to hear that,” Hollie smiled, her hand on my thigh.

“We are going to stay and talk for a while, will you be…” I started to ask Colin.

“The bus stop is right around the corner,” Colin stated as he stood up. “Thank you again!”

“I am going to need a ride home,” Hollie grinned as she looked at me.

“Let’s go,” I smiled as I led Hollie to my car.

“Wow, it does look different,” I looked around the place I used to call home.

It was a thirty-minute drive from the city. It was amazing to see how the lights of the large city faded away and the country life took over.

“Do you remember Hardy’s field?” Hollie asked.

“Yeah,” I smiled. “It looks familiar.”

As I drove past the high school, it was just as Hollie had told me: new and improved. Across from it was a new football field.

“Here we are,” I shook my head.

The field was gone, and there was a shopping area.

“This was where we last saw each other,” Hollie turned to face me as we were in the middle of a large parking lot.

“Yeah, I went off to college,” I turned to look at her.

“And I stayed to take after my Mom.” She pulled me close, and we kissed.

“I had wanted to do that since Eddie’s closet,” Hollie admitted as we broke apart.

“Well if we are talking about Eddie’s closet,” I smiled as we kissed again.

This time, I squeezed her chest and felt her huge breasts in my hand.

Hollie smiled. “Well this time, there is something there to actually feel instead of being completely flat chested!”

There was a loud honk as we saw a police cruiser with its brights on pointed right at us.

“I guess we should take this back to my place,” Hollie waved at the officer.

“You’re right, where too?”

“Thought you would never ask!”
