It had been a long day at work and Caeden decided it was worth going out with friends. He had been working hard and it had paid off. He managed to get that raise he'd been working toward and he was just a retiree, from leaving in two months, away from a promotion. Life could get better but he didn't want to push his luck. He was already starting to feel uncomfortable with the fact that things were, for once going his way. It was almost scary but he wasn't going to let the fact that the other shoe hadn't dropped yet stop him from having a good time! Everyone at the office was happy for him so a few of his friends pitched in and invited him out to celebrate!

The party at the bar had been going on for a while now and two of the six members of the group had to be put in a cab and sent home. Caeden was having a really good time with his coworkers/friends but it was time for him to clock out of this party. "Guys! I want to thank you all for this. You didn't need to do this for me, but I am grateful. Thank you." He said, raising his glass of beer in the air for a toast. Suddenly he realized it was empty and everyone laughed. "Ok, maybe just one more beer for the toast!" Everyone cheered as a bartender brought them another pitcher of beer.

Now Caeden was sure he said one more beer but after three more hours it ended up being six and his head was starting to hurt. "Ok, now I need to go home. Bartender, Can you please call me a cab? Thank you." he was slurring his words a little and his thoughts were fuzzy.

His friend Terry was the driver for the group but they were so drunk and loud he didn't want to even want to deal with the noise. "My head is killing me," he said to himself, "I need to go." One of the bartenders came up to him and told him his cab was here. Caeden said bye to his friends which included hugs and sloppy kisses from the only female in the group left. Lisa could always be counted on to hold her liquor, however that didn't mean she was gonna remember anything tomorrow.

He walked outside to the black and white cab and he thought to himself, 'When were cabs black and white? I always thought black and yellow was the standard color. Why do I care? Maybe, it's a new company.' He opened the door and slid in unexpected luxury. 'What is this? This can't be a cab, it's a way to fancy in here for picking up drunks, not that I don't appreciate it though.' Caeden thought as he closed the door behind him and settled into the backseat.

"Hello, my name is Armon Klitzkov and I’ll be your driver for the evening. What is our first destination?" said a very handsome man in the driver seat. It was dark so there was little light to see him properly with, but Caeden could tell he was anything but normal.

"Hello, I'm Caeden and I’m sorry but I believe that I have gotten into the wrong car. I will exit immediately." he didn't know why but for some strange reason Caeden felt that proper English was warranted in this situation. He began to open the door but was stopped by the driver’s voice. "No, you are in the correct car and it is a pleasure to meet you, sir."

Now Caeden was confused. "Um, ok. If I’m in the right car why is it so fancy here? Not that I’m complaining about it I’m just a little confused that's all." he leaned forward a bit.

"Oh, I understand. You are used to sloppy and disgusting cars picking you up full of germs and bodily fluids. However, my company believes that if our customers are important they should have to choose to ride in comfort. Also, if they enjoy their ride and driver then they will be more likely to choose us for any other of their transportation needs." Armon turned and leaned back to smile.

Caeden couldn't believe what he was seeing. The man in front of him was gorgeous. His long dark hair was braided and twisted up into a bun at the back of his neck and peeked out from under his hat. The smile he gave him was so dazzling that it almost made him a bit embarrassed. "Oh, that sounds like a solid policy. I agree with it but, it might take some getting used to on my part. I feel like I’m renting a limo." he chuckled a little and he slid back in the seat.

"Good.", Armon stated "That is exactly how we want our customer to feel! The luxury of a limo but the cost of a cab. So, where shall I be taking you tonight?" as he turned around to face the road.

“I would like to go home, please.” Caeden rubbed his temples. “It’s been a long day and I have had too much to drink tonight.”

“As you wish, sir.” Armon started the car and they began the trip home after Caeden gave him the address to his apartment. After a while, Caeden had dozed off in the backseat and was snoring slightly. Armon checked his rearview mirror to look back at him and smiled. ‘I wasn’t expecting him to fall asleep so fast we aren’t that far from his apartment now. He does look like he does work too hard. Even though he is handsome I don’t think he is my type so I’ll have to pass on this one.’

They arrived at Caeden’s apartment building and Armon reached back to shake him awake, but it seemed his passenger was out cold. ‘Humans, such as trusting creatures. Oh well, it seems like I’ll be walking this one to the door.’ After finally getting Caeden out of the car Armon noticed something very peculiar about this man he was carrying. Seeing him in better lighting made it easier to see his aura and what was fluttering around this slender but solid man almost made Armon drop him. ‘What the?! This can’t be why I didn't notice this before in the car? Who is he and how is he not without a master?’

Armon couldn’t sense any binding magic or any spell connecting him to anyone. ‘This is unacceptable! Why has no one taken him under their care surely at some point someone has noticed his aura! I cannot leave him alone like this. He is completely vulnerable; he could be devoured or worse!’ They got to the building number Caeden said he lived in so Armon woke him up. “Sir, I’m sorry to wake you like this but which number do you live in and where is your key! Armon shouted a bit.

“What!” Caeden looked around and noticed that Armon was carrying him like a princess. “Put me down, please. Thank you but I can manage from here!”

Armon put him down gently but stared at him as Caeden fumbled for his keys. “Who are you? Where is your master, if you have one? How old are you? Also, why aren’t you protected? I can see your aura and it is prime for anything that goes bump in the night to devour! What is wrong with you? Didn’t your parents teach you anything?!” Armon yelled.

“Whoa, who the hell do you think you are talking to me like that?! I have been nothing but respectful to you this whole trip and if this is about me falling asleep in the car, well you did pick up someone from a bar so, duh! I’m not telling you a damn thing and I’m not paying for this!” Caeden stormed off toward his apartment door.

“Hell, you're not! I don’t give a crap about the money but you will answer my questions because I need to know who to kill for leaving you out here alone with no support!” Armon shouted following him.

“What the hell are you talking about? I am a grown-ass man! I don’t need anyone to support me but me! I work my ass off every day at a job I hate to take care of myself and my affairs. So who the fuck are you to tell me I need support! No one had supported me since I was seventeen years old and I think I did a damn fine job at it. So do me a favor and Fuck off!!” Caeden opened his door only to have Armon push him into it and shut it behind him.

“Look I don’t think you understand!” Armon tried to explain. “The fuck! No, you don’t understand that if you don’t leave right now I’m calling the police!” Caeden’s head was throbbing now and this damn idiot was picking a fight with him.

‘Wait, is it possible he knows nothing?’ Armon started thinking. ‘If he knows nothing then I’ll just have to show him.’ he backed to the door and locked it!

“Didn’t you hear what I said you need to leave, Now!” Caeden was pissed all he wanted to do was strip off his clothes, take a shower, and go to bed. “Fine, I’m calling the cops now!” even before Caeden could get to the phone Armon materialized in front of him.

“What the Fuck!” Caeden jumped back. What are you?!”

“If you would calm down I will happily explain everything and believe me this information may save your life one day.” Armon jested to the sofa and Caeden sat this was gonna take a while. “Do you know what an Oracle is?”

“I do, but what does that have to do with me?” Caeden just wanted all of this to be over. “You are one.” Armon explained, “Look, I’m going, to be honest with you ok but I believe it will be easier for you if I just show you because these days seeing is believing.” Armon backed a few paces, removed his drivers’ hat, placed in on the coffee table, and began undoing the buttons to his jacket. “I will warn you this may be a little disturbing, so brace yourself.”

“Look if it will get you out of my apartment faster so I can get some sleep because my head hurts and all this bull is not helping!” Caeden was rubbing his temples again as he watched this gorgeous man turn into something of nightmares. Armon’s hair seemed to take on a life of its own as it unraveled from its braid. His eyes darkened and his iris’s glowed a bright crimson red. However, of all the changes that Armon’s body went through nothing scared Caeden more than when his fangs grew before him. ‘Oh my God! My driver is a real-life vampire! I’m dead, my life is over. I knew the other shoe would drop but I never thought it would be a steel-toed boot!!’

After everything calmed Armon stared at Caeden, “Now do you understand?” he paused for a reaction. “If I wanted I could have had you for a snack long before now and you would no longer be a part of this life.”

Staring at Armon was a strange feeling, he didn’t know what to say or do mostly because he was in shock but something was pulling him towards this deadly creature. “Are you even listening to me?” Armon braced his hand on his waist waiting for a response.

Caeden stood and paced over to Armon never taking his eyes off of him. ‘What am I doing? What is this feeling? Why do I want to touch him? I can’t stop myself, what is going on? Someone, please, help me!’ Finally standing inches from the vampire Caeden felt a surge of heat flow through his body and it made him gasp for air. By now he was panting trying to resist the urge to tackle Armon.

“I believe you ok, but can you please explain to me why I have the urge to jump your bones right now!? I mean don’t get me wrong you are very attractive but I have never had the desire to kiss anyone as much as I do you right now. I’m a little lost as to what to do.” Caeden whispered, his body shaking. The waves of heat were getting more intense every few seconds. Armon reverted to his human form and froze, “What?” It was too late Caeden was already kissing him with his arm wrapped around his neck. Armon was trying to think of what to do but Caeden’s lips were so soft and tasted so sweet. He decided to indulge himself just for a little while as his arm went around Caeden’s waist. ‘I could do this all night. He is one damn good kisser. I would love to take this farther but that requires consent and I need him to let go of me to get it’ Armon moaned.

Caeden was never one to throw caution completely to the wind, but if he was gonna die he was going to die a happy man, one way or another. It had been almost a year since he had any. Right now he didn’t care who was gonna give it to him, so might as well be the vampire who was gonna drink him dry. I sounded fair enough. Letting his hands roam over Armon’s shoulders and down his chest to remove his clothes was turning out to be a task. “Hey, we need to stop. You are not yourself right now.” Armon hissed breaking their kiss.

“What? No! If you’re gonna kill me then you’re going to do it my way pleasure first death last.” Caeden reached for him only to feel the air. “I’m sorry but you have not consented to our bonding. So I’m afraid I can’t help you with that.” Armon leaned against the kitchen counter.

“Bonding? What bonding? I thought you were just going to drink my blood and leave me for dead.” Caeden was gasping for air now. “Look just fuck me and get it over with. I refuse to die a reborn virgin!” Armon burst out laughing, “What the hell is a reborn virgin! Never heard of such a thing?”

“It’s when you haven’t had any in more than six months and it is a thing!”, it was getting harder for Caeden to breathe. “What is a bonding anyway? If it means I get laid and not die I’m in.” Armon calmed down from laughing, “It is what it is called. Basically, you and I will be bonded by our spirit or life energy and you will have my consent protection no matter where you go in this life and the next. So what’s your decision?”
