How To Avoid Being Scammed As A Sex Worker
Don't let them fool you!

Starting into the world of sex work can be intimidating, especially if you don't have anyone to help guide you through. A lot of men (and even some women) will take advantage of you when you are new. You come onto the scene with a big red target on your back. I'm going to talk about some of the most obvious and over used tactics used against new workers to scam them.
The most important rule in sex work is there to prevent the majority of scams: NEVER send or perform without getting paid upfront. If you follow this rule, it will be extremely hard for someone to scam you. Don't fall for that soggy line "Send first and I'll pay for more IF I like it". Not only is that absolutely not how that works, but that's just extremely rude. Don't fall for men asking for "samples" either. On every site you'll use, and even just your social medias, you will have already posted photos of yourself as advertisement. THOSE are the samples, and you can either refer them to your already posted pics or just send that same pic so they get the point.
Another rule: No haggling! It's ok if you want to cut a deal, but don't let any buyer bully you into dropping your price for them. "I never pay x for this", "other girls only charge me x", "I can only afford x". That's fine, they can go back to that other girl for that price, they can come back when they can afford you. If they want YOU, they can pay YOUR prices. If they are serious about buying from you, they will. You will be surprised how many guys will try to haggle your prices and then give in and pay full price. Then there are those who will just move on, but honestly they weren't going to be a well paying regular anyway so it's not a loss. At the same time, though, if you need to make a sale and you're comfortable with it, then it's your choice to make that deal. I have made several way-to-cheap sales when I needed a little extra income. The main thing is that YOU set the rules, not them, and you have the right to refuse service.
Another common tactic buyers will use is "half now, half later". They offer to pay for half of something up front, and the other half after you deliver, but this is rarely how that goes. They will end up ghosting you after you send/perform and enjoy their half off deal you just gave them. Don't let them tug your heart strings or make you feel guilty with lines like, "I was just screwed over earlier", or "I've been burned in the past". The amount of buyers scamming sellers is waaaay higher than the reverse, and those sellers are always called out loudly on both sides for giving all sellers a bad rap.
The next common scam to avoid: custom price changes. The rule here is to get paid BEFORE you even start filming/creating. Anyone who is serious about buying your custom will be ok with this. The way they scam is simple, they say they will pay x amount, you make the content and then they say nevermind, they can't afford x amount. They will still send you half or less of its worth though, and typically the seller will agree because they already went though the effort of making the content. If you fall prey to this, I highly recommend telling them to fuck right off and take the loss. It's happened to me, and I trashed the video rather than giving him what he wanted. I refuse to let someone use me that way.
The sugar daddy scam is likely one you've already come across if you've stepped your toes into the sex work pool. They are willing to pay you $500 weekly, no, $800/weekly, as long as you're a REAL trustable and honest sugar baby. They are just a lonely old person looking for someone young to spoil. All you have to do is pay for an account on something or some kind of amazon card, honestly I'm not sure how this scam ends because it's easy to spot a mile away and I didn't want to waste my time finding out. I usually just ignore them, or block.
