Hey there people. We hope your summer is filled with beautiful sunshine and that it isn't too hot out there for your tastes. The first Hottest Summer Bods, 2021 issue dropped a few days back and we are excited to continue this series which began last year in the midst of an awful global pandemic. This year we are stepping into a new direction but still celebrating some of the most amazing women alive. This series will mostly include athletes but a rapper, model, actress or someone from another profession will be inserted from time to time. Enjoy!

Aliyah Llanusa

Central Oklahoma's Aliyah Llanusa finds her way back into our series once more. On her Instagram, she says, "I am the daughter of a king who lives life, with the desire to love people the way her father does."

Another great quote on her page is "People quit on people all the time. You gotta make sure you never quit on yourself."

On the basketball court she didn't give up on herself as she closed the season out with strong shooting. While shooting 42.9 percent for the whole year, Llanusa made 11 of her final 17 shots, 64.7 percent in her final seven games. She made the most out her 13 minutes in a game against Missouri Western where she made all three of her shots scoring six points and collected a season best three steals.

The 20-year-old guard led Choctaw High School to an Oklahoma state title during her high school days.

Along with being a basketball star, Llanusa also has a fitness page, @getbuilt.liyah, which is a fitness guide, showcases creative workouts, helps you transform your body and encourages followers to eat more healthy.

Karle Pace

Karle Pace is a native of Clarksville, Tennessee. During the 2019-20 season she was first team All-Ohio Valley Conference while at Eastern Illinois. In 2020-21 she was named Preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference. During the season she averaged 12.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and three assists per game. Her best game of the season was Jan. 15 against Eastern Kentucky, where she posted 32 points shooting 8-15 from the field. She also hit a season high 13 free-throws on 18 attempts. Less than a month before that game she had a 21-point effort on the road against Eastern Kentucky. In that game she shot 3-7 from three while dishing out four assists and three steals.

Pace's best three-point shooting performance came against SIU-E when she nailed four-of-six triples in a game where she posted 20 points. Pace scored 1,387 points which is 11th best in Eastern Illinois history.

Kennedy Yearby

Yes we have soccer players in our series as well. Kennedy Yearby competed at Cornell, where she was named the team's Top Offensive Player of the Year in 2018. The Syracuse, New York native played her senior season in 2019 and over the course of her career she posted four goals and four assists which were the best numbers in her class. When she competed in high school, Yearby was prolific posting 130 goals. She was named first team all-state in 2014 and was a member of the National Honor Society and French National Honor Society.

Janell Williams

Janell Williams is a six-foot-three middle blocker for the Western Michigan University Broncos. In 70 matches Williams has played 270 sets with 386 kills, 232 total blocks and 526.5 points. In 2021, Williams helped lead her team to an 18-5 finish. In 2019, she was named Mid American Conference West Defensive Player of the Week. Williams is a communications major with a concentration in film video and media studies. She comes from great athletic genes as her mom, Crystal, competed for University of California Pennsylvania as a basketball player. Her dad Jimmy Williams was a player in the NFL.
