These kinds of problems can lead to other issues in relationships. The one thing that you don't want sucking in the bedroom is your actual sex life. It happens to the best of us. We get into a routine, things feel comfortable, and we find ourselves resorting to the same old moves. Those five or six moves, your old standbys, get old after a while. 

Remember when you were young and starting out. Sex wasn't something that you had done a hundred, or maybe a thousand times. Each time was a grand adventure. Each new lover was unconquered ground. Then, over time, you settled into a routine. You spent long periods with the same person, maybe developed a relationship, even married. Things over time got a little stagnant, perhaps? Or, you might just be looking to spice things up and get out of your comfort zone. How do you accomplish any of that with kids, jobs, responsibilities, and the ravages of time since you're no longer in your late teens or even early 20s?

Of all the options available, and not all of them are suitable for everyone, getting sex out of the bedroom is the easiest fix to a boring sex life. So, start by getting sex out of the bedroom.

The Living Room

It can be enjoyed any time of the day or night, around kids' school schedules, or just because it is a day that ends in "y". Perhaps you should scotch guard the upholstery first. It's just a thought. 

Your Own Back Yard

But, if you're feeling adventurous, take a telescope out on a clear night, throw down a sleeping bag, or even just a blanket, enjoy a bottle of wine, and when it looks clear - go for it! Just remember where your clothes are, so they aren't found in the yard the next day.

Swimming Pools

Who doesn't remember Christie Brinkley stripping down and diving in as she attempted to seduce Clark Griswald (Chevy Chase) in National Lampoon's Vacation? Skinny dipping with your special someone is an obvious lead to something between two hormonally-charged adults. And, you're already naked. Just remember to keep in mind that public pools aren't always as clean as they look. 

A romantic swim is a great idea to heat things up.

Hotel Sex

Perhaps you've got a sitter for the kids and just want to have some noisy fun. Grab a room at the local No Tell Motel and let your uninhibited side out. 

The Theater

Admittedly, it wasn't exactly my first thought of places to do so that were outside of the ordinary but is a memory that I won't soon forget. An older movie towards the end of its' run is an absolutely essential element to attempting such a brazen stunt. It's probably better for the girl to wear a skirt or dress, and the guy to wear loose clothing. Make the colors dark so that you don't walk out with unsightly and visible staining. This is something that needs to be a quieter interlude, so if she's a screamer, I'd say you're shooting for a horror movie or something with space or war-style battles to cover your noises. Have fun, and try not to get caught. In most places, this could land you in jail.

Cemetery Escapades

I once walked through a cemetery with an old girlfriend who stunned me by dropping her sundress and having me take photos of her next to a mausoleum, some old headstones, and playfully frolicking around the place like it was her own. She already had a plot picked out there to be buried, so I shrugged it off. As odd as it was, this was one heck of a photoshoot with some fun for me before we left. Ah…memories.

Rooftops And Balconies

There's the enhanced risk involved. Depending on where you're at, there's the possibility of getting seen. If you're an overthinker, you might be afraid of Google Earth accidentally recording your ass for the world to see. I guess that's a good reason to stay in shape and do those squats.

Beaches

Every generation of moviegoers and romance novelists has experimented with the idea of a couple on the beach around sunset. More brazen experiments and examples include daylight hours, public beaches, and nudist beaches under the hot afternoon sun. It's perhaps best done in the ocean, although that saltwater concentration might prove to be an irritant. If you're on the beach, take my word for it, and bring a blanket. There are few more irritating feelings than to have sand in your crack, no matter how hot your adventurous partner may be.

Staircases

Late shifters, visitors to businesses, co-workers, and adventuring types alike have used the staircases to satisfy that immediate urge for as long as I can remember. The convenience of a place to sit, the out-of-the-way locations they can be found in, and the fact that most people are too lazy anymore to use the stairs give them a special appeal to the horny little love birds needing a release. As a security specialist that worked in a hospital for years, I can attest that I found many, many couples in states of undress in the old north stairwell of a particular building in my hometown.

Work

Perhaps an office interlude is just what you need. Maybe the wife or husband can join you for a late dinner while you burn the midnight oil. If you're the only one there, what's it going to hurt? Just make sure you know where the bosses have cameras and clean up after yourself. If it's a co-worker, make sure it's a serious thing or you both agree it's a casual thing because those sexual harassment cases are a problem to get past. Just look at former Governor Andrew Cuomo.
