Your Greatest Comeback
Turn setbacks into success

Lies are a strange thing. When you're infatuated, in love or blindly trusting of someone, it's so easy for lies to be shoveled into your mouth.
You can gulp them down with ease and without thinking. You wouldn't notice, you wouldn't question not for a second. And that's what liars exploit, and you know that.
A liar requires no specialized skill set trust me. Liars only avoid scrutiny because of your trust or, more accurately, your unthinking trust.
But the thing is, you can't play with trust forever. Once, twice, perhaps three times but after that? The day you discover that you've been lied to again and again, your first response will be shock. At other times you'll even let them off the hook a second time because it's a painful thing to accept that you've been betrayed.
But the day will come when you hit a wall. It doesn't matter how hard you try. You cannot remain blind. You will no longer be able to swallow the lies, no matter how hard you try. They will catch in your throat, weigh heavy on your chest. You won't be shocked anymore. Instead, you will be angry at them, sure, but also mostly at yourself, for believing in faith.
And the moment you quit sleeping with your eyes open that's the moment the liar's game ends. It hurts to open your eyes after having them closed for so long.
But once you've seen it, you can never unsee it.
As they say, ''If you repeat a lie a thousand times, it becomes the truth.'' But some lies are so monstrous that no number of repetitions will ever make them sound like a truth.
Liars understand this but that does not stop them from trying to impose their lies upon you.
They can make you listen to their lies, but they can never make you believe them.
Because the form of belief has always been within your control.
You only need to keep your eyes open.
