Why YASHA'S Salon Doesn't Allow Mirrors: The Shocking Truth Revealed!

What if you encountered a salon that doesn't allow mirrors? This is the story of Yasha, a hairdresser in Umuzi famous for being super fast when it came to braiding hair. Yasha could accommodate as many as 10 clients every day and finish each hairstyle within an hour. Her clients admired her for being efficient and really good at what she did, so her salon was always full of clients.

The hairdresser, however, had a weird condition imposed by Yasha: no mirrors or reflective surfaces of any nature. And she was very serious about the rule; in fact, she would carefully check through clients' handbags to ensure that no reflective object was being carried in. The clients found this rule rather curious but did not complain too much so long as their hair was ready in good time.

One day, a new customer, Ado, visited Yasha's salon, unware of the rule. She brought a small mirror along to show Yasha what type of hair she wanted. She was unaware that seeing the mirror, Yasha became very angry and started shouting at her, asking about who allowed Ado to bring that mirror in. Ado apologized quickly and trashed the mirror before proceeding with the appointment. She did not say anything at all about the rule.

Another day, another young lady called Zuri, was sent to the salon of Yasha. This adventurous young woman became intrigued with the no-mirror policy. She thought it very odd and refused to comply, wanting to see her hair as Yasha was working on it. Wanting to do it her way, Yasha insisted that she wouldn't braid Zuri's hair. Further wanting to understand why, Zuri left the salon, resolved to investigate.

Moved by curiosity, Zuri returned to apologize and agreed to follow the rule. While Yasha started to braid her hair, Zuri felt something was amiss. She felt faint whispers and questioned Yasha about her remarkable speed. Yasha simply said it was due to some special gift.

The next day, Zuri visited an elderly spiritually endowed woman in a neighboring town. This lady told her that the reason for Yasha's great speed in hair-braiding was because she was assisted by an evil spirit attached to her since birth as a result of a pact made by her mother.

Shocked, Zuri offered her services to rid him of the evil spirit. Under the guidance of the old woman, she readied a magic mirror that would ensnare the malevolent entity. Armed with the spellbound mirror, Zuri returned to Yasha's salon and explained what would happen. Anxiously, he agreed to it, for he was by then desperate to have this spirit off his back.

In a rage, the spirit resorted to using the magical mirror and began to threaten Yasha. The mirror began glowing, and much to its chagrin, slowly drawing the spirit inside. It struggled, but in no time at all, it was caught. Zuri shattered the mirror, smashing any chance the spirit had of coming back.

Deeply thankful, Yasha revealed that, due to the spirit, she had also been barred from marriage – even though suitors did try to win her hand. Without the ghostly presence now, Yasha was at last free to pursue her joy.

Mirrors were gradually, with care, returned to Yasha's parlor. And the clients rejoiced. Yasha, in celebration of her freedom, ordained a feast of epic proportions. Her fame, due to the liberty newly gained, expanded more and more, and she became very good friends with Zuri, for that brave act of hers, binding her to Zuri because of their acts of courage and mutual support.

The story of Yasha makes us understand that sometimes, even the most unbearable challenges can be overcome by courage, friendship, and wisdom. It teaches us to take a stand against many senseless rules and to ask for help whenever help is needed.
