‘Who Did It?’

It was a stormy night on the mid-summer 1976. On that night, there was an urban hotel from downtown in Chicago, Illinois. There were nine people in this hotel: Two young couples(Fransico and Sophia) for their romantic trip; A manager; and five college students(Ryan, Megan, Sarah, Timothy, and Margret) from the crime/science department) for their week project along with their professor(Dr. Mark). They were introduced themselves one after another at the lobby area. The music played with some tunes in the late-sixties. They shake hands one after another. They grabbed some nice coffee and delicious snacks. They began to have some friendly conversation. Each of them said ‘hi- nice to meet you.’ Hello.’ They were greeting each other. They asked questions, making jokes, and laughed altogether.

Until… The thunder went- BOOM! The lightening-FLASH! and then, the electricity went off. Everyone was shocked! Sophia and rest of the girls were freaked out. ‘EEKKK!” Ryan was nervous. The noise appeared-CRASH! Someone broke the lamp! The chair fell down. THUD! Someone tripped and fall- ’OUCH!”

Suddenly, the lights went back on. Until—-one of the college students disappeared. It was Megan! Everyone screamed and panicked!

‘What happened? “

“Who did it?!”

“where’s Megan’, Margaret cried!

There were only nine…No— eight remains.

‘Wait a minute? Where’s Dr. Mark?” Ryan asked. ‘I don’t know,’ Sarah answered. They got to stick with a plan like Dr. Mark taught them in class. They have to divided into three groups with two people each—-

Ryan and Timothy go to the second floor; Sarah and Margret go to third floor; and Francisco and Sophia go to the hallway from first floor. The manager has to stay so he can lookout in the lobby area. It was settled.

Moments later, Ryan and Timothy were investigating of each room on the second floor. However, there were five rooms on each floor in the hotel. Not a single clue yet. Just then, the thunder is getting louder and the lights were off again! Seconds later—Ryan is gone! “NOOO!” Timothy panicked and cried.

’Aahhhhhhhhh!” Timothy heard a scream- it was Margret! Sarah was gone too! Timothy ran to the third floor and found Margret! “Are you okay?” “yeah’. They rushed down the stairs and searched Francisco and Sophia. But, Sophia was alone! He has gone too! She was frightened!

They went to the lobby area— There were only three people left in the hotel. Suddenly The lights went out again! Timothy is gone! Now— it’s only Margret and Sophia left. They were alone and scared. Until.. all ghosts appeared- ‘BOO!” The girls both screamed! “Help!”

’SURPRISE!”

Everyone pull out of the white sheets! They cheered and clapped their hands— ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” Shocking! They didn’t see that coming. It was all set up— it’s a birthday surprise for Margret and Sophia.

Eventually, another shocking twist was that Dr. Mark and Fransico were relatives (uncle/nephew) and they had been planned the whole time.

Everyone was so relieved. Now, they’re began to celebrate for the birthday evening.
