It hadn’t rained in weeks — the kind of dry stretch where even the sky seemed tired.
The night it finally poured, I went outside barefoot.
The air smelled like forgiveness.
I didn’t have a reason to cry, but I did anyway. Not from sadness — from release.
Sometimes you don’t need a storm to ruin things. You need one to wash them clean.
