What to Believe?

Are myths real or is reality a myth?

You probably won’t believe what I’m about to tell you, and I can’t say that I blame you for being skeptical. Really, with all this disinformation floating around the web, it’s hard to know what’s real. For example, did you know Elvis is alive and living in a trailer park outside of Vegas, and how about all those pictures of Bigfoot? If it’s on the internet it must be true, right?

Our elected officials and corporate officers will assert a statement is true. The very next day, they’ll stand behind the same podium and proclaim the exact opposite is true. When questioned about the conflicting statements, they will use the stock reply, “I misspoke.” Remember when that was called lying?

It’s hard for a person like me, who wants to believe what people say, not to be cynical. Think about all the conspiracy theories that exist: The moon landing was faked; the CIA killed JFK; the Clintons ran a human trafficking ring from a DC pizza shop; aliens are running Congress (that one might be true!) Yes, the truth no longer is black and white, but multiple shades of gray.

The more I think about it, let’s just forget this whole conversation. You’re probably not going to believe me, anyway.

Yes! We are walking around in a world filled with craziness. It would not surprise me at all if Bigfoot would win a seat in Congress.

OMG, you had me LOL. LOVE this, especially the congress part. My one exception, and you can laugh and be skeptical, many are and will, my husband and I did see a UFO. He took a few pictures. For some reason, they like to visit us in SW Florida. This wasn't the first time, either. Oh, the first time for us, but, we have newspaper reports of sightings. Yep, they're running congress!

I watch and I wonder sometimes the idiocy of it all, and yet we let them. I BELIEVE YOU

Ugh!!! Those last two sentences. It's Frustrating not knowing the truth about everything when the truth exists. Why we twist the truth or fabricate a lie and then tell everyone else our version is beyond me. I don't get it. This one of the reasons why I rarely watch the news, and I agree with you on aliens running congress. 🤣

Exactly! It’s all a simulation anyway, right?? 🤷🏼‍♀️🫣🤣
