What Time is It?

What Time is It?

I wanted to come up with a word for the “Neolomicro Challenge” to describe the ridiculousness of the seasonal time change, but the only thing that keeps coming to mind is Super Annoying. Like this morning, I was up at four something AM because my brain is still thinking “five.”

And then for dinner, my dog will be sitting in his feeding location for an hour before dinner time, whining because “I Forgot.” I’ll have to say to him, “Sorry, it’s not dinner time. You can’t eat yet because the government says so.”

And he’ll be like “Well, that’s dumb. I’m hungry now.” So he’ll whine some more until I feed him at dinner time, then he’ll be like, “See, it works! I whine – Mom feeds me.” And this will go on until spring, when we settle back into a plausible routine, and we must reset our clocks again.

*******************************************************************

Thanks for reading my non-entry. I’m just tired and it’s raining. The horses get confused, too, because breakfast is not on time. And the cats – who knows? They’re always making a fuss.

How do you feel about the time change concept, if you have to deal with it?

Thank God I live where we don't need to set or reset anything because I don't understand anything about daylight savings. I've read up on it but it's just so confusing. Like my brain can't comprehend what I'm reading, lol. Even as a human I don't understand it. Animals don't stand a chance 🤣🤣🤣

    Lol. How about daylightdumbassery?

  • In Kansas (& elsewhere in the Great Plains) on farms & ranches the schedule is ruled by daylight, not the clock--at least as far as the chores are concerned. (As far as what's showing on network tv or going on in town, that's a different matter.) But synchronizing those two schedules & readjusting one's routine to accommodate is a real bugger.

Hawaii does do the time change dance. Same with Arizona!!! Changing the clocks is a pain in the butt!!! Plus, messes with our internal clock. Love you story!!!💕❤️❤️

I'm livid about time change... It threw off my medicine times and I had a seizure because of that.
