Strangers in a fey court, three heroes are told to look into a pool of truth, thus proving their intentions.
One has visions of mighty battles and hard decisions yet to come. The fey court nods and gesture another hero forwards.
Another sees a stained red sky and blood soaked fields. His child riding his dragon against a great demon foe. The court nods again.
The final hero moves with trepidation, gazing into the pool. She looks in and sees fear. It reaches out, grabbing her by the throat! The fey unsheathe their weapons, " So, you have chosen... death!"
