I had been told to go to Boston. I thought I knew what to expect. But looking out the airplane door all I saw was white Snow and ice. My skin soaked in the cold.
I had planned to ride the MBTA , but because my hands were frozen I waved down a taxi. The pilot on the plane had told us, It was a sunny 32 degree day .The snow was a unpleasemt surprise.
My boss was paying for the hotel. It was next to the harbor. It was welcoming even in this blizzard, A message was waiting for me. I had a lunch meeting tomorrow with a client. I smiled. No need to go out in this weather. The meeting was in the restaurant in the hotel lobby. It was a gorgeous city but I was happy to remain in the hotel.
There was a pool, and I had my self designed suit and towel. But I didn't get to show them off, nobody was in the pool.
The next day I arrived at the meeting with all my sales material. My hostess lead me over to a short, long haired man. My heart stopped. I shock his hand. His eyes followed mine , as he asked about my life, Yes I was single, an experience he could relate to. He also had a apartment in a warmer part of the US. With the end of the meal, with no talk of work. Was it love? I wondered
