Was He Attempting To See Whom Could Be More Smartassier?
He was more of a smart-ass than I, yes sir!
"Can you believe the fastest solve for Rubik's cube is seconds? " he said. Yes, I can believe that. Did you think you were the fastest? "Well, maybe!" he lead, "I am pretty fast."
You have tried the grandchildren in a race, but you haven't tried me. Are you afraid to take me on? "Have you heard that song, "That will be the day..." he sang.
Let's arrange a contest with a couple of grandchildren and we will have someone time us. How does that sound? We have 3 pretty good grandchildren who play with their Rubik's cube.
"Just so you know that no one is even close to me!" he said with his chest all puffed out. We shall give them a few weeks to practice as they are not playing with their rubics 5 times a day, every day like you are.
The day arrived and everyone was all ready and I bowed out to be the timekeeper. I just knew that I was not the one to win this contest. I just had to give the guy a taste of his own and be smartassier!
So I said, I know I can beat you anytime. We can always have a contest and I will win. It is always the smartest that wins these competitions! Then again, our grandchildren are pretty smart.
Maybe you won't stand a chance!
