Vespertilia

A vampire supervillainess begins her murderous mission

By Clyde E. DawkinsPublished about a year ago 1 min read

There were a lot of things that Paulina Rívera didn't expect to happen. She didn't expect that her 10 year marriage would be over, and she also didn't expect that her ex-husband, Randall West, would move on with another woman. Paulina often claims that she was cheated on, but all of that was always in her head. Despite having no evidence at all, and her friends knowing that she habitually makes meritless accusations, Paulina expected to be believed.

As Paulina drove off after stalking Randall and his new girlfriend, Chelsea, she became so distracted by her own grief and delusions, that she suddenly crashed into a truck that was carrying a rare breed of vampire bats. Paulina survived, but to her horror, she saw puncture wounds on both sides of her neck. She knew that the bats had bitten her, and she gave a loud shriek that shattered the windows of the hospital she was in. By the time nurses and doctors rushed to Paulina's room, it was empty, as Paulina had literally flown out of the building.

Paulina knew exactly where she was headed: back to the home she shared with Randall. Sure enough, Chelsea woke up to the strange sounds and investigated, and was surprised by what she saw.

"Paulina?"

"Paulina Rívera's dead," Paulina said in a sinister tone. "Call me...Vespertilia!"

The renamed Vespertilia inserted her long vampire fangs into Chelsea and killed her, and afterwards, Randall spotted his monstrous ex-wife, who sprouted bat wings and flew off, cackling while doing so. Since then, Vespertilia has continued her misogynistic and murderous mission to pursue women she believes are destroying marriages, doubling down on her own delusions of being cheated on, while using her high-pitched bat shriek to weaken her victims before going on the kill.
