Raja Kishanraj was the ruler of a vast empire and ran his kingdom with great skill. However, fate had different plans. Raja Kishanraj's sudden demise led to his only son, Sabhyaraj, ascending the throne. Young Sabhyaraj, much like his father, was highly talented and quickly took charge of the kingdom. With his mother having passed away earlier, Sabhyaraj was now left without both parents.
The kingdom's oldest and most loyal minister, Kashiram, guided the young king, who held Kashiram in high regard. One day, Kashiram suggested that the king should marry and recommended Princess Prerna from a neighboring kingdom, praising her virtues and wisdom. Initially hesitant, the king agreed after hearing about Prerna and her family. The princess and her family were already impressed with the king, and the marriage was arranged.
The wedding took place with great pomp, and Prerna soon arrived in the kingdom. The king admired not only her beauty but also her intelligence. Prerna often resolved issues with her astuteness that brute force couldn't solve. The couple's love deepened, and they were elated when Prerna became pregnant a year later. However, their joy was short-lived as their newborn son died within hours. The kingdom mourned with them, and Kashiram consoled the king, encouraging him to support the queen.
Time passed, and the couple gradually recovered from their grief, planning for the future. Prerna became pregnant again, and the couple took extra precautions this time. Yet, tragedy struck once more when their second son also died shortly after birth. This personal grief affected the king's rule, leading to attacks from enemies and a loss of some territories. The people's faith in the king waned, questioning his ability to protect the kingdom.
Despite these challenges, Prerna continued her efforts, often visiting the people discreetly. After six months, she told the king that their next child would survive, but he had to follow her instructions. Trusting her wisdom, the king agreed. Prerna revealed that she would leave for an unknown place after that night and return at the right time with their child. The king, though distressed, agreed, and the next morning, Prerna was gone.
Minister Kashiram, upon learning of her departure, prayed for their success. The king, confident in Prerna's abilities, focused on defending his kingdom with renewed vigor. About ten months later, Prerna returned with a one-month-old son, and the kingdom rejoiced. The king, overjoyed, invited everyone to celebrate. He thanked Prerna, who promised to explain everything at the right time.
However, after their son's birth, Prerna's behavior changed. She kept the king at a distance, causing him to suspect the child's parentage. When confronted, Prerna finally revealed the truth. She had learned from the kingdom's elders about a curse placed on the royal lineage by a tribal leader after a pregnant woman from their tribe died in an accident involving the king's parents. This curse was the reason their children couldn't survive.
Prerna had lived among the tribe, praying and pleading for their forgiveness. During her time there, she exchanged their dead child for a newborn from a compassionate tribal family. The tribe's leader, moved by her dedication, offered their child to her, believing it was a way to atone for the curse. Prerna brought the child back, believing it was a divine act of forgiveness.
The king, overwhelmed by the truth and Prerna's sacrifice, sought forgiveness and vowed to love and protect the child. They both visited the tribe to express their gratitude and seek further blessings. The king, having learned a valuable lesson, embraced the child with unconditional love, marking a new beginning for their family and kingdom.
