Out of love for her son and concern for their condition, his mother encouraged him to seek provision. Although Abu Ahmad himself was content with their situation, he respected his mother’s wish and turned to Allah in prayer.

One morning, before dawn, he raised his hands and made a heartfelt du‘a:

> “O Allah! If I have any share in the blessings of the Hereafter, then grant me some portion of it here in this world.”



Immediately after this supplication, a miraculous sign appeared. A light shone in the corner of his room. When he approached, he discovered the leg of a throne, crafted from pure gold and adorned with precious jewels. He brought it to his mother, saying:

> “I found myself in a grand palace. On its gate was written: ‘La ilaha illallah Muhammadur Rasulullah.’ Alongside this blessed declaration, I read the words: ‘This palace belongs to Abu Ahmad al-Hilasi.’



> Inside, I saw many thrones. One of them, however, was missing a leg. I asked, ‘Why does this throne look incomplete?’ An angel replied, ‘The missing leg is the very one you yourself took in this world.’ I said, ‘Return it to its rightful place!’ Then I awoke—and the throne leg was gone.”



This vision was a clear sign that the gift Abu Ahmad received in this world was part of his reward in the Hereafter.
