It's 9pm. My partner and I have been tracking down Big Al of the notorious Sicilian crime syndicate and received information that he was going to set up an arms deal at the docks. We've been on the case for about 2 years now and it finally came down to this. The plan was to catch him in the middle of the deal. My partner was going to swoop in from the back as I confronted Big Al and finally crash his Illegal arms ring, but more times than not, a plan doesn't always come together.

The Arms bust was about to go down, so I contacted my partner to see if he was in place before I swooped in with the possibility of guns blazing. As my partner confirmed that he was in place. I waited for the right opportunity to make the bust. As soon as I confronted Big Al I soon realized that both my partner and I had been played. "Thought you could pull a fast on me and I wouldn't know about it." Big Al said, as he gave an evil smirk "bring him out boys." And his goons brought out my partner, bloody and beaten. We both glance at each other the glance of how do we get out of this situation, than Big Al has one of his men bring my partner to him and he looks at me with a gun pointed to my partners head " You know I run this town, how could you ever think that you could get away with ruining me and my empire. I'll make sure you never forget who you're dealing with." and with no hesitation he shot my partner in the head and pointed the gun at me….and everything went dark….and all I heard was "bang"

I woke up from a bad dream. The sound of a train whistle wakes me up. Unaware of my surroundings, I start to snap out of my sleepy state. I realize that I am on a train, no clue of where I am headed or what I even possibly boarded a train for, I asked myself "How did I get here? Why did I have such a strange dream?" I don't even know my name or a reason for boarding. I try to look for a possible clue to any of my questions, but I don't have a Ticket or an ID to even identify myself. The thought of being on this train with no memory, not even a purpose makes the event more frustrating.

Finally, after calming down, I realized that I should find out where this train is headed. As I make my way to the front of the train, I realize that there aren't any other passengers on this train. So my next objective is to see if there is someone who works on this train that can help me. A few feet ahead of me, I see a man well dressed in a suit and tie. I run up to him and ask him where we're headed. He told me the train was headed to the next city. I told him my situation and he told me everything was fine and to just sit back and enjoy the ride. This employee seemed suspicious, he didn't even show any concern for my situation.

As I walked back to my seat, I saw a sign on the side of the door that read "Property of Big Al" The name sounds familiar, but I didn't make anything of it. After pondering what my next move would be, I realized if the other employee's are anything like the guy I just asked for information, then I might as well be talking to a bunch of snazzy brick walls. I needed to sneak into an employee office if I wanted to put this mysterious puzzle together. So that's what I set out to do. After scouting the room where all the suited men met up, I saw that every other hour they would leave the room to check on a specific area. I would use that time to sneak in and hopefully find out more than just the name of the train's owner. My plan worked and I locked the door behind me. I was amazed and shocked to find out that this train was just a big ruse for a Gun smuggling ring. I had no clue what my role in this was, but I was getting close to figuring out who I was and why I was here.

After learning these things, I must have lost track of time because the suits came back and started pounding on the door. "They've caught me, I'm dead for sure. " I thought as the pounding on the door grew harder and harder. I had to surrender, because I had no way of getting out. So I unlock the door with my hands up and all the suits have their guns pointing at me. They brought me to the control room, moving quickly, they handcuffed me to a metal pipe on the side of the wall, not realizing that one of my hands was still free. "The boss wanted us to waste him once we got the guns off the train." I hear one of the men tell the other. "He knows too much now." They both agreed and as they were getting ready to pull their guns out to kill me, a loud explosion hit the side of the train throwing the men back and breaking their neck on the control panel. I needed to get these handcuffs off quickly. Luckily one of the guns was in my reach so I used the gun to shoot the chain of the handcuff to release me from the wall. Now with the men in suits dead, there wasn't anyone controlling the train. So now I had to find a way to stop the train, and break free from this locomotive prison once and for all.

I found a communication box on the control panel and tried to radio anyone who could help me slow this train down. I needed to come up with a plan fast, because who knows how far this train can go before it either flips over or hits an oncoming train. Plus I don't know if the explosion was an attack on the train or an unexplained accident. I had to find out. As dangerous as it sounded I was stuck between a rock and a hard place. I moved closer and closer to the train car that exploded and it turns out this wasn't an accident. A group of train robbers had been scouting the train for a while and decided today was the day to make the move. As they were in the middle of taking the guns, I walked in and lifted my hands up. Unsure if this would be my last breath, I alerted them that this train has no one running it and if any of them didn't know how to stop it then we would all be dead.

One of the train robbers looked at me and stated that he was the engineer of these train robberies and he could stop the train. As we got to the control panel, one of the suits who I thought had died was standing up trying to alert someone on their radio that the train had been breached. As the door opened the suit opened fire and shot the robber in the neck , the robber shot the suit twice in the chest and he died on the control panel. The robber was slowly dying and dropped on the floor. Now the train was unstoppable. A voice on the radio starts to speak. "Hello detective, you remember me yet???" I think he's referring to me so I respond back "How do I stop this train, there's no one aboard who can control it." the voice responds angrily " You should've thought about that before you stuck your nose in other people's business..again!"

Unaware of what he was talking about I put together that this must be the owner of the train, Big Al, he must have had this planned from the beginning that I would figure out who he was, what this train was doing and that it would be the last time I solved a case. It was a bit shocking to learn I was a detective this whole time, but it made sense seeing as how my curiosity would lead me to solve this case again. Then it finally hit me, with everything that has happened leading up to this. I knew who I was and why Big Al was so important. That dream was more than a dream, it was my conscience trying to reboot my memory.

I figured if this was my last chance to fight against Big Al, might as well take away his precious cargo. So I went back to the train car where the robbers were waiting for their partner. I told them who this train belonged to and that their partner was dead at the hand of his goons. I told them at this point, the best way to attack Big Al was to destroy his weapons by dumping them off the train. I figured he planned for this train to crash into something, I'd end up dead and he could collect his weapons from the crash before the police check out the crash site. Little would he know that the guns were already unloaded before he could recover his cargo. I remembered a radio channel our district used to contact for emergencies if we couldn't get a hold of our own dispatch, hoping we were still in range, I gave them my name and badge ID, then I began to describe my surrounding area in hopes that they could locate this specific train. I told them goodbye and that I hope they finally catch Big Al. After the message, the robbers and I empty out the train of all the guns and wait for our painful demise. My life flashes before my eyes with everything Good and bad that I've done with my life and then finally a loud crash drowns my ears and everything goes dark.

The message was received and the cops sat, waiting for Big Al to arrive on the scene and everything went according to plan. After they arrest Big Al and check the crash site. They retrieve a note next to the corpse of who they believe was the detective that sent out the emergency, detailing everything that Big Al has done prior to arriving on scene. The detective was a hero and to this day is seen as such in the eyes of his department and the city that no longer has to deal with the mafia leader known as Big Al.
