All-black hockey teams take to the ice.

The professional major league hockey teams met. Everyone on the ice including the referees showed black faces.

The novelty seemed to be astounding, but it wasn’t to the players. They knew the competition meant more than biological chemicals.

They spent the three periods racking up scores. By the end of the contest, they had racked up twelve points a piece.

The last shot came down to Whittaker Serson. He shot and the puck past the red line. The joy that ran through the home arena engulfed the winning squad and spectators. When each of them realized it they celebrated more.
