This Is What Falling in Love Feels Like

Love is beautiful give it a chance

By Gibson PetersPublished about a year ago 3 min read

Falling in love feels like crafting a poem.

It’s a poem just for you.

I close my eyes and write it in cursive.

I believe I understand you better that way.

My eyelids shut, and I find clarity.

I know your dance; I remember your smile.

In your presence, I find meaning.

Our souls connect deeply.

We shut out the noise of the world.

You encourage me to trust my breath.

You remind me it’s for both our sakes.

My diaphragm trembles with the night’s pulse.

Each exhale pulls back my longing.

God speaks to us through metaphors.

He speaks through city lights that glow.

He speaks through the circles of our time.

Past and present blend into an image of you.

You are a paradox, heavy yet light.

You carry such weight but seem weightless.

The rain dances slowly on your cheeks.

Sunlight falls softly around you.

This perhaps is love.

It is being reborn, and then dying again.

It reflects the essence of life and loss.

Love wraps snugly in the rhythm of your heart.

In this rhythm, I find comfort.

I would wrap myself in this blanket a hundred times.

It restores the fragments of my past.

I sew internal scars into stories.

We trace them back to the sun.

To our mothers’ kitchens, warm and alive.

Those memories remind us we were once whole.

They remind us we still are, in ways.

And so, I vow to live like this.

I will face tomorrow’s uncertainties.

I will embrace the unknown with a buoyant heart.

I’ll take chances in your universe.

Each moment spreads out before us.

With endless possibilities like an open sky.

I want to explore them alongside you.

Let’s wander together in this beautiful adventure.

Falling in love feels like dancing.

Each step we take builds our story.

Our laughter fills the air like melodious songs.

It wraps around us, keeps us warm.

Sometimes, words escape me.

But your smile says enough.

It becomes a language all its own.

In your presence, silence speaks volumes.

As the days turn into weeks,

My love for you deepens.

Found in the simple moments.

A shared glance, a gentle touch.

You listen to my heart.

You hear its whispers, its secrets.

In return, I listen to yours.

Each beat connects us a little more.

I imagine our future.

I envision us building dreams.

Brick by brick, we create a home.

A place soft and safe, where love resides.

We’ll celebrate small victories.

Revel in the joy of quiet evenings.

Wrapped in each other’s arms,

The outside world fades away.

Love will build a foundation.

Together, we will weather storms.

Hand in hand, we will face trials.

Stronger together than apart.

In moments of doubt,

I will remind you of our bond.

A connection that transcends.

Time and space cannot break us.

You see my flaws, my imperfections.

Yet, you love me as I am.

That grace fills me with hope.

It stirs the parts of me that fear.

Together we will grow.

Blooming like flowers in spring.

Embracing the sunlight, thriving.

Finding strength in the warmth.

As seasons change, so will we.

Adapting, evolving, and learning.

Embracing what life offers us.

Always returning to this love.

This is what falling in love feels like.

It’s a journey worth taking.

An adventure filled with surprises.

Each moment a treasured gift.

Let’s continue writing our poem.

Let’s create the verses of our lives.

With hope, joy, and laughter.

Falling in love is just the beginning.

Our story unfolds with every heartbeat.

A tapestry of moments shared.

Together, we’ll fill the pages.

With all the beauty love can create.

And when the day is done,

We’ll look back at what we’ve built.

Two souls intertwined, forever.

This is what falling in love feels like—

Endless, vibrant, alive.
