They Had It Coming
Would you mind if your entire life was being controlled? Truth be told, you wouldn’t even know.

Born into darkness. A world unfit for a child to be raised. The cards I had been dealt were terrible. Abuse, violence and destruction, no wonder I lived in despair. Life for me could have ended before it had even begun, that is if the power I cradled inside of me, wasn’t the leg up in life I needed.
As soon as I was able, when I could control myself, I rebelled. What’s the use of wielding a gift as powerful as manipulation, if you can’t destroy the ones that hurt you in the process?
Before my 13th birthday, I had already murdered my parents. Entering their weak minds to persuade them to jump off the fire escape of our run-down apartment, was child play once I knew how. From then on, bigger things were waiting for me.
Anything I wanted; I could have. Humans are simple creatures and once a thought is planted, they presume that it is their own. Petty crimes, useless, trivial matters at first, which soon escalated into domination, I was hungry for power. With my sunken eyes, ghost skin and raven hair, I seemed to camouflage into the city crowds. This place didn’t care, police were overrun by low lives that stole. I was different, I could be trusted, the establishment accepted me, and I had finally dug my claws into the centre of their network.
Once control is gained from higher forces, you’re unstoppable. I could do anything and they’d forget it. They would simply allow me to control their entire world. Would you know if you were being manipulated? Probably not. Would you even remember this conversation tomorrow? Probably not.
