Movement, light fades in and out there is no rest for the moon, the sun or the spirits on earth. Aimlessly wandering throughout the world searching for an answer, an answer for movement and freedom of searching for this answer. The spirits are meant to wander the earth for eternity, searching for the answer to this movement, but to never stray from their path and that is how they might find the answer they are searching for.
These spirits are immortal and they did not know of time, all they knew of, was that they must keep walking and walking for the eternity they did not know of yet and to never question the reason for anything they do but to find the answer to movement. One spirit did not like to follow the rules you could say, this Spirit of the Wolf played with nature and would not walk and would wonder. He was not searching for the answer to movement but freedom and having fun, though because he was different all the other spirits stayed away from him.
Except one day the Spirit of the Raven approached the wolf and asked the wolf, “What are you doing Wolf Spirit?”. The Raven perched on a nearby tree and looked at the Wolf Spirit as he was not fazed and did not expect anything to come from this conversation the Wolf thought to inform the Raven and maybe convince the Raven to go against the insane unspoken rules they are supposed to follow, “I am a free spirit Raven, I follow no crowd.”. Then amazed with this thought and how any Spirit would go against what was wished of them and to not follow anyone else but to be a leader, the Raven Spirit kindly replied, “May I join you kind Wolf Spirit?” The Wolf Spirit started to walk away to watch and see how this scene would play out intrigued by this curious Raven, “If you would like to you shall.” The Raven Spirit extended her wings and flew next to the Wolf Spirit and from that moment on the Wolf Spirit and the Raven Spirit followed no crowd and searched for nothing but their freedom and happiness.
As the sun would set over and over the Wolf Spirit and the Raven grew no closer to the answer to their freedom. But they would always stop and watch as the Sun fell over the horizon and played and they watched as the moon rose. As they were playing in a field of flowers once again a Spirit approached them, but this wasn’t Spirit they had seen or heard of, the Spirit was dark and had suddenly made frost in the field killing the flowers and in a strong voice the Spirit spoke, “Do you not wander as the rest?”.
The Raven and Wolf looked at each other. The wolf stood tall, someone needed to be strong and stand up for them and be a leader, “We are searching for freedom, what is your name Spirit?” The spirit laughed taken aback by someone going against the unspoken rules and against the other Spirits and also to be thought of as a Spirit, “I am flattered you thought I was a Spirit my child but I am no Spirit on Earth, I am one of the gods and I am the God to the answer you are searching for. So, you really do wish to have freedom?”. “Yes, we do, do you have the answer to our wish?” the God with the answer moved forward towards the wolf and touched the wolf's heart, “You must go to the valley of rest, which you will get to by following the Star just North and when it shines the brightest you shall be there, you will find the answer for freedom there. Inside you, Wolf Spirit… I will tell you once you have finished your journey.”.
Then in a moment the God was gone and they were alone once more. But there was a chill of the Wolf Spirit’s heart from where God touched him. But the Wolf Spirit also felt something inside him; it was almost his heart which grounded him to the Earth. The Raven Spirit and Wolf Spirit exchanged glances in silence. No words could utter the excitement and the fear going through both of them at this moment. So until sunset they waited in silence thinking of everything that has happened and what is going to happen.
When the sun set they followed the brightest star, the North star and wandered towards it. Watching it with beauty and intent as it slowly got brighter and they would laugh and smile the closer they got humming words almost as if they were singing because of joy. When the North star had started to shine as bright as the sun itself that it was almost blinding. They were so blinded they finally looked down to see horrific features.
There were Spirits were lying on the ground with no movement at all, almost as if they were empty spirits. The Wolf Spirit felt a tug towards one of the Spirits, the Human Spirit and the Wolf followed the tug and sat next to the lying Human Spirit, the Raven in the background watching for anything that could harm them. The Wolf Spirit put his paw on the Human Spirits heart and slowly the Wolf Spirit and the Human Spirit’s hearts joined together. The lying Human Spirit slowly awoke and color washed into his face then he slowly rose from where it rested.
A frost rolled over the Spirits and the valley and the God appeared in front of the Wolf Spirit, the Raven Spirit and the Human Spirit, “A ticking heart, separated in two now one heart in two bodies. Wolf Spirit, you have found the answer everyone aimlessly walks for but this is because you choose to follow what you believe and feel rather than follow the crowd, which has not broken the chain of eternal motion. Human, as long as your Wolf does not die, as long as the ticking in the heart doesn't stop you shall live and be strong and safe to rest and live. For there is now time, you see young Wolf Spirit, which brings a time limit to your life for your sacrifice. But forever your children will be friends with Humans and your spirits will never unmerge.”.
Finally an answer to the aimless movement and answers a beacon of hope for the lost Spirits out in the world. But with this one answer they created a connection that can never be broken for eternity and there is love to be created and shared through this connection. A sacrifice given for the answer of time and to have love and a connection between human and animal spirits.
Movement is now a sign of time; it is no longer the life of a spirit and the question. The Wolf set free all the spirits who did not go against what was unheard of as rules and also the spirits who walked away from the Wolf. The Raven is seen as the beautiful Crow because they helped save eternal time and all spirits are now free to wander and wander in freedom.
Everything was now different the way the Wolf walked and everything you felt that with meaning brings hope but also brings worry for the Wolf does not know when or where his ticking heart will stop. But now the Wolf shall live for days, night and day and for years as long as his soul mate, the Human lives. The Raven spirit however had no soul mate and was destined to live only a few years and go onward to another world but the Wolf and Raven will always get along, the Wolf to never hunt the Raven for as long as the world stood for appreciation of the companionship given to him.
Slowly everything was falling into place no longer where the Spirits wanderers but they were living beings. Living and wondering instead of wandering and waiting as they were no longer just their spirit body but a physical body that shall pass to the Earth. Then separation will happen and the Wolf Spirit and Human Spirit finally merge back into one spirit and finally as one they are at peace. There is finally an equality and peace to the restlessness. You shall sleep and remember your spirit is one with the Wolf, the one who gave us freedom from the restless movement and unknown eternity.
